JUST IN: 'Super Size Me' filmmaker Morgan Spurlock has died at the age of 53 from complications of cancer.
Spurlock released a documentary in 2004 where he ate McDonalds every day for 30 days.
At the end of the experiment, Spurlock's cholesterol shot up 65 points and he gained a whopping 24.5 pounds.
Spurlock "passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on May 23, 2024, in New York from complications of cancer," his family announced.
"It was a sad day, as we said goodbye to my brother Morgan. Morgan gave so much through his art, ideas, and generosity. The world has lost a true creative genius and a special man. I am so proud to have worked together with him," his brother Craig said.
JUST IN: PGA tour golfer Grayson Murray has died at the age of 30, shortly after withdrawing in the middle of a tournament this week.
Murray played 16 holes at the Charles Schwab Challenge before withdrawing, citing an “illness.”
“We were devastated to learn and are heartbroken to share that PGA TOUR player Grayson Murray passed away this morning. I am at a loss for words,” PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan said in a statement.
Murray shot a two-under-par 68 on Thursday.
He previously had battled depression and anxiety.
