We're thrilled to announce a brand new species of brachylophosaurin hadrosaur, Ornatops incantatus! This is the third news species that our joint expeditions with @WesternCenter and SPS have discovered in the Menefee Formation of New Mexico.

Today marks 1 year that my son went missing. To the world, it's one year. To us, the family, it's every day one after the other, a continuous moments passing by where hope is always shadowed by dismay. Somehow, day after day the will to keep searching triumphant over loosing hope
Many of you know I have been on the research committee of João Russo in Portugal, He is researching an amazing Jurassic ankylosaur (most complete articulated dino in Portugal. Covid really screwed up his study of other specimens. Please Contribute!

It's #DinosaurDay. In the Menefee, we have tyrannosaurid, hadrosaurid, ceratopsian, and ornithomimid dinos. We just excavated an Ornatops (hadrosaur) pelvis w/tail vertebrae. Serious power tools were required to extract the fossil from surrounding matrix.
paleo folks all have the same formula for field clothes. neutral colored tshirt + neutral colored long sleeve button up + neutral colored cargo pants (bonus if they zip into shorts) + cowboy/sun hat. i wish i was kidding but we are all dressed in some variation of this rn.
If you want a little more out of your #FossilFriday, check out this overview for the first week of Menefee Expedition finds! Our colleagues in the Southwest Paleontological Society and Western Science Center are hard at work uncovering crocs, turtles, and of course dinosaurs.
Happy #FossilFriday from the Menefee Formation. We've had a productive field season so far with a new species of turtle, crocs, hadrosaur limb bones, and part of an ornithomimid! Next up, prospecting another unit of the permit locality.
Happy #TurtleTuesday from the Menefee Formation where we are finding some new Campanian trionychid (soft-shelled turtle) specimens with gorgeous surface sculpturing.
Today is #WorldTurtle Day and #MenefeeMonday, and we're in the field searching for Campanian turtles, dinos, and crocs. Did you know there are at least 5 different turtle species in the Menefee Formation? Our research will reveal how they niche-partitioned to share the ecospace.
Well, our intern Ethan Cowgill is going for it again. A self starter, he and his team are returning to find new dinosaur ecosystem in southwestern Wyoming with a bit of support from his friends. https://t.co/gb12kxj6d8
This #FossilFriday, I'm putting the final touches on my team's abstract on Campanian turtles for #SVP2022. Hope to see many of my paleo colleagues in Toronto this fall!
Please Help. I need Volunteer Flyer Ambassadors to help me spread awareness of my missing son, Daniel. Volunteers willing to get my flyers distributed in their cities all over the US. There may be 1 person needing to be reminded of what they know and saw but moved to your city.
