Buffy and Gossip Girl Star Michelle Trachtenberg Passed Away One Year Ago at Just 39 Years Old. She Would Have Turned 41 This Weekend. 🕊️ 🧛‍♀️

Happy heavenly birthday! 🎂

Michelle Trachtenberg became an unforgettable part of the Buffy universe as Dawn Summers, Buffy’s younger sister whose arrival became central to one of the show’s biggest storylines.

Long before Sunnydale, audiences already knew her as Harriet in Harriet the Spy and Nona in The Adventures of Pete & Pete. She later reinvented herself once again as the deliciously chaotic Georgina Sparks in Gossip Girl.

Some of her memorable roles include:
• Dawn Summers (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
• Georgina Sparks (Gossip Girl)
• Harriet M. Welsch (Harriet the Spy)
• Casey Carlyle (Ice Princess)
• Penny (Inspector Gadget)
• Jenny (EuroTrip)
• Maggie O’Donnell (17 Again)
• Nona F. Mecklenberg (The Adventures of Pete & Pete)
• Valkyrie (The Super Hero Squad Show)
• Tika Waylan (Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight)
• Judy Reilly (Human Kind Of)
• Melissa Kitt (Black Christmas)
• Wendy Peterson (Mysterious Skin)
• Chloe Payne (Mercy)
• Marina Oswald (K*lling Kennedy)

From childhood adventures to supernatural drama and one of television’s most memorable troublemakers, Trachtenberg showed remarkable range across every stage of her career.

Happy Birthday in Heaven, Michelle Trachtenberg. Dawn, Georgina, Harriet, and the many characters you left behind continue to be remembered by generations of fans. 📺🎬🕊️
