Honest Review: @AstraGamingGear Astra x Horof Record Glass Mousepad
This mousepad is a collaboration project between Astra and Hololive (featuring Ceres Fauna). After testing it out, I can confidently say this glass pad is highly unique and feels distinctly different from anything else on the market.
Box and Extras
The box packaging features a reflective silhouette of the character. The included extras are generous and ready for use. It comes with:
- 1x Cleaning cloth
- 1x Arm sleeve
- 7x Sets of red dot mouse skates (feet)
- 1x Special emblem hard plate
- 2x Guitar picks

Actual Usage Feel
This is an uncoated glass pad focused on Control. Based on my actual experience, it leans towards the slower side—slower than other glass pads I've tried, like those from X-Raypad or Lamzu.
- Texture: The surface has an incredibly heavy texture, probably the most textured pad currently on the market. The pattern feels somewhat random, almost like shallow scratches. The surface feels quite dry and catches sweat easily (so using the included arm sleeve is highly recommended). However, despite the rough feel, you don't feel any jitter or vibration in your hand when gliding the mouse.
- Control: The stopping power is exceptionally high. You can stop the mouse dead on target. Applying downward pressure on the mouse enhances control nicely without making it feel overly sluggish or causing abrupt stops.
- Static Friction: There is a slight initial drag when starting a movement, but micro-adjustments and the transition between stopping and moving again remain very smooth and fluid. There is no sticky or muddy sensation at all.

Overall Build Quality
- The artwork on the pad is beautifully done.
- The edges are finished very well and neatly. The profile is thin and not bulky.
- The rubber base uses a modern design that is currently popular. It grips the desk solidly and doesn't slide around during use, complete with an engraved Astra logo on the back.
- There’s an Astra x Horof Record logo placed at the corner.

Conclusion
Personally, this is my absolute favorite mousepad in the uncoated Control glass pad category. It offers both the visual appeal of a collector's item and highly reliable in-game performance. If you're looking for a glass pad that provides easy control and precise stopping power, this is a must-have!

Honest Review: 1stplayer Prism 1 Mousepad
This mousepad is from 1stplayer, a well-known Chinese brand. Personally, I feel like it hasn't been talked about much yet, but after trying it out, I can tell you it's genuinely a solid pad in the market.
Box and Extras
The box packaging looks pretty standard, nothing special. However, the included items inside are actually quite good. It comes with:
- 1x Cleaning cloth
- 2x Adhesive removal wipes
- 60x Silent PTFE dots (with installation instructions)

Actual Usage Feel
Looking at the box, it’s labeled as a "Speed" pad, and from my actual experience, I completely agree that it’s a Balance pad leaning towards Speed.

- Texture: This is an uncoated glass pad. The surface features a large-grain rough texture, allowing you to clearly feel the tactile roughness.
- Control: Even though it leans towards Speed, it isn't so slippery that you lose control. It still offers good stopping power and makes the mouse very easy to control.
- Static Friction: When testing the initial force needed for micro-adjustments, it performs really well. It requires very little effort or force to get the mouse moving, offering a very balanced, middle-ground feel that is absolutely excellent for actual use.

Overall Build Quality
- The pattern on the pad is clear and visually appealing.
- The edges are finished very well and neatly. - The grip on the desk is solid and stable; it doesn't slide around easily.
- There's a 1stplayer Prism logo attached at the corner.

Conclusion
Overall, I personally like this pad a lot. It’s a highly capable glass mousepad for daily use and gaming. If you're looking for a pad with this specific kind of feel, you should definitely check it out.
