@RodeoProfessor They had garbage dump bear spots out back of restaurants in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan until the early 2000s. You had to know where to go, but they were around. Lol
@braxton_mccoy He was. Started with horses, and ended with A/C. Kept a scrapbook with every horse he ever owned. Would break it out and reminisce once in awhile even after he hadn’t owned a horse in 40 years.
@TylerAmerica1st If there was meat, or certain organs, removed it wasn’t a leftist. Meat = immigrants looking for free food. Organs = immigrants looking for sacrificial parts. You’re right though, if they were just shot and left to rot it was probably a leftist.
Once again, in outer space, the once great magazine High Country News wrote this article and headline to make you upset that there’s a “public land sale” in Colorado (there isn’t, there’s a lease sale). They also want you to think this is going to be a free for all with drilling that will majorly impact wildlife, which is not the case in Colorado.
Before any drilling, BLM has to do a NEPA assessment analyzing impacts to wildlife. Courts have struck down some lease approvals for poor wildlife analysis. Colorado Parks and Wildlife manage elk by focusing on high priority habitat and BLM through Resource Management Plans (RMPs) which are now aligned with state standards for big game in CO.
BLM lessees are required to conserve seasonal habitat and connectivity for big game species in support of Colorado Parks and Wildlife goals. Oil and gas companies are subject to seasonal timing limitations (no extraction activity during winter concentration of elk or calving seasons right now). There’s no activity or very restricted activity allowed in wintering or migration habitat. There’s density limits on well pads, roads, and so on. Companies are required to mitigate certain disturbances like funding habitat restoration or clustering manmade infrastructure. These rules were all made through close collaboration between BLM, industry, and Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
Wouldn’t an article that’s meant to fearmonger about impacts to wildlife actually go into some of these specifics on wildlife mitigation within BLM leases for oil and gas companies? Like are there anticipated issues with seasonal timing considerations? Any issues with the high priority habitat being violated? No, this article isn’t about giving you real information and enabling you to learn more about oil and gas extraction on public land. It’s specifically written to make people dumber. HCN what happened to you?!
@bonifacegroup My point is that he never enumerated why he disliked it. He would have been wiser to not mention his “hate” to the congregation, but just because he “hates” it doesn’t mean he preaches counter to it. Block me if you want. Welcome to the internet.
@FaithPundit@bonifacegroup I never said it was irrelevant. My point is that having an issue with a creed doesn’t actually make you unorthodox. Particularly in this case where his issue with it wasn’t enumerated. He would have been better to not mention it if he wasn’t going to explain his opposition though
@bonifacegroup No, it’s not irrelevant. Particularly in this discussion on whether someone likes them or not. The creeds are theoretically capable of error. They may be completely scriptural, but, at the end of the day, they are creeds of men.
