This morning, Good Shepherd Services rallied at city hall with @ChildrenNYC ahead of the preliminary budget hearing on children and youth to let the council know that we need to invest in our youth!

Yesterday, we went to Albany to advocate for afterschool programs with @NYSYouthSuccess. We urge elected officials to invest in afterschool because these programs are essential for young people and families!
As we remember those who have lost their lives while homeless, it is important to recommit ourselves to the work to end homelessness. I want to thank @UrbanPathwaysNY and @CFHNYC for putting on this event and honoring these lives who are often dismissed.
This week was the week of the winter solstice, which also brings Homeless persons’ Memorial Day, a day to honor all those who have lost their lives while experiencing homelessness or due to the conditions of homelessness.
