Nicaragua and Iran are cases for my research because their revolutions unfolded similarly - 1979 revolutions, 1989/1990 massive reforms and/or reversals, 2005/2007 revival of revolutionary rhetoric... and now, in 2017/2018, both saw massive protests; coincidence? I think not!
I think the most used words in Nicaraguan politics, in the 1980s, 1990s, and now again with the recent protests, is "national dialogue." And I'm still not sure what that means...
