I did my first match with my MP5 today and it was great.

Only had this thing for two weeks and I've slapped it so many times it's not even funny. This included practicing reloads in while shouting "Sprechen sie Deutsch?!?!"

This video was absolutely a factor.

MKE AP5, a licensed-built MP5.

Currently has the older style handguard and trigger housing. I've got the wide handguard and a Navy-style SEF trigger housing on the way to see what I like better.

@Jkatian @FPWellman The rifling serves mostly to stabilize the projectile in flight. The yawing is something that happens after impact with 5.56.

Basic physics can help from the kinetic energy, but there's also energy transfer, which is where the high velocity comes in.

@Jkatian @FPWellman When shot into a paper target, you'll get small holes on the front and a little but of a rough edge on the back.

When shot into soft tissue, you will see cavitation affects as you will with bullet.

People often neglect to mention how 5.56 compares to larger calibers though.

Yes. The AR15 does use a small caliber for the projectile.

However the velocity allows it to cause significant damage to soft tissue despite the smaller size. There is also a yawing affect that can occur.

It includes a barrel, guide rod assembly, two magazines, brush, an 50 rounds of UZI-brand ammunition for each caliber.

The UZI is over 70 years old. The "issue" you are mentioning is nothing more than urban legend at best. You can find the same story but with STEN's (where it actually could happen), MAC's, etc.

UZI's are actually quite well made.
