If Gov’t disputes the videos of torture houses, and the disabled Sam Mugumya, we challenge them to produce him and the other abducted people in court and we all see the state in which they are.
Abductions, illegal detentions, torture, and violations of the law should be condemned by everyone regardless of political affiliation.

Just had a longer conversation with @AloikinOpoloje, and this is what she told me to put out.
Upon her abduction on Saturday evening, her captors drove with her towards Entebbe. They told her she would be punished for "abusing their president", that is, not Museveni, but his son, Muhoozi.
They beat her in the drone, but kept saying the "real beating" would happen in the "basement" and it was where they were destined. One of them told her they could kill her, put her in a bodybag and dump it away and no one "could do anything about it".
About halfway the journey towards Entebbe, one of the men in the drone received a phone call, from who, she can't tell. The call recipient ordered the car to drive back to Kampala. Praise would not be taken to the basement, he announced. He, like everyone in the drone was disenchanted by the call - heartbroken even! They were so eager to torture her - one of them even said he was supposed to r*pe - her, she told me. After the call, she says they loudly complained that they "spend all their days on missions" only to be given "stupid orders" at the end! He added that for that "mission", that is, abducting 25-year-old unarmed Praise, he had not eaten the whole day!
Still, Praise didn't know where they were going, but given the beastly tendencies of her captors, she could tell that whatever was a disappointment for them may be good for her, after all.
At the end of the journey, the drone (Toyota Hiace Van) pulled up at Kampala Police Station! In total disregard of @PoliceUg procedures, her details were not taken down, but the police simply checked her into their cell for women. The officers who locked her up threatened to kill her if she doesn't keep quiet.
She was kept at CPS. So, it turns out, this whole time, Praise was at CPS in Kampala! Fortunately, the officers at CPS, despite their threats, didn't lay a finger on her. However, she was only given a single meal this time, throughout the ordeal.
A statement has been taken from her, she will be charged for "broadcasting without a license" under the UCC Act. That is, she has a TikTok account without getting permission from the Ugandan regime. A lawyer is with her.

This is not a barracks. Civilians are citizens, not soldiers under command. Public discourse is part of civilian life, and people have a right to ask questions and discuss matters that affect their country.
Shame on you @PoliceUg! This is what impunity looks like when it is allowed to fester unchallenged.
What you have done is a deliberate, calculated betrayal of the one duty you have towards Ugandan citizens. A police station is not a loading dock for abductions of citizens.
You’re aiding State sanctioned disappearances executed with the full compliance of the one institution constitutionally bound to prevent it? Do you have no shame?
Produce @AloikinOpoloje and let the public know her whereabouts. Allow her access to her lawyers and family.

You can’t run a country with a thin skin that takes offence with criticism, challenge, ridicule, and insult from old people, children, youths, girls, boys, … etc. How far do you go in hunting them down! Eventually, even your own people get scared of you and only sing pretentious praises. You never get to know how they really feel about you, and, eventually, you miss out on constructive advice. Even as you head to a cliff, you will only be cheered on. It is quite predictable how this will end.

Just learnt of the abduction of this young female activist, Praise Aloikin Opoloje, this evening! She is a vocal critic of the NRM regime, with her most recent video focusing on Mr. Museveni's infantile son & cowardly army commander, Muhoozi, who has proven unable to act his age or rank. We call for Aloikin's unconditional release and an end to this State criminality! #BringBackOurPeople!
“It’s not my priority to have a male child” — Billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote.
He added, “You might pray for a son, and that son will be the one to bring the family down. God controls everything, and if God doesn’t give you something, don’t push it. And I don’t think a son would have done better than the three daughters I have.”
The monks in Thailand told me that being born into a life where your purpose is to help others in any form, especially spiritually, is a sign of good karma carried over from past lives. It suggests you’ve gathered enough merit to be entrusted with the opportunity to serve others
🇳🇴🇺🇬 On the SAME DAY Europe's OLDEST reigning monarch died in Norway, the world's YOUNGEST reigning monarch died in Uganda...
What are the odds of that??
We found out yesterday that King Harald V of Norway died peacefully at the age of 89; he had ruled the Nordic country for 35 years.
But we've also now learned that Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV of Uganda passed away yesterday, at 34.
The King of Tooro in western Uganda became king at just 3-years-old, in 1995.
Uganda is governed by an elected president and parliament, but does still have several traditional kingdoms, more of a cultural influence.
The "youngest monarch," who has ruled since 1995, and the "oldest monarch" (in Europe), who has ruled since 1991, both died on the same day...
RIP to both of them... that's just objectively insane!!

It was revealed that Dolly Parton was secretly battling cancer but she didn't say anything and instead released this song as one of her last to raise funds for children with cancer. Even while she was sick she was still thinking about others. I’m absolutely devastated.
Forever one of the hardest things about death for me. Life doesn’t stop for your grief. Everything around you just keeps moving with this unbearable normalcy, completely indifferent to the fact that your life has been altered forever.
I am shocked and deeply distressed.
After 7pm tonight, my partner @kizzabesigye1 was bundled up and taken back to Luzira Prison.
When I left KB at 4.30pm, he still could not walk or talk. At lunch, I fed him soft food with a spoon because his arms and hands remain very weak.
He cannot yet care for himself.

Sometimes “locking in” looks like sitting in the sun and remembering that your life is also meant to be lived, not just optimized, monetized, and turned into proof that you’re worthy.
Asuman Kiyingi: Netanyahu statue at Entebbe is an assault on Uganda’s sovereignty, constitutional order
No publicly identified statutory or other legal authority empowers the Chief of Defence Forces to unilaterally determine whom Uganda should immortalise on State land.
Nor has any public explanation been offered identifying Cabinet approval, parliamentary oversight, or a lawful administrative process authorising the dedication of public airport property to honour a foreign military commander.
The symbolism is equally troubling. The State appears prepared to honour the commander of a foreign military force that entered Uganda without consent while offering no comparable national recognition to the Ugandan soldiers who lost their lives defending Entebbe Airport in the course of their military duties.
Whatever one thinks of the government of President Idi Amin, those soldiers died defending Ugandan territory against foreign military force. Public monuments should unite a nation around its constitutional values. They should not celebrate events that remain deeply contested within Uganda’s own historical experience.
