Ahead of the rollout of the VB-G RAM G Scheme from 1 July 2026, the Capacity Building Programme is underway at SIRD&PR. The Day-2 training for District Level Officers, including CDO-cum-EOs, District Line Department Officials, MGNREGS Coordinators, Assistant Executive Engineers, and Additional Programme Officers, commenced under the chairmanship of the Director, Special Projects.
The programme focuses on enhancing institutional preparedness, strengthening convergence, and building a shared understanding of planning, implementation, and monitoring mechanisms for successful execution of the scheme.

A historic milestone in Odisha's rural water supply journey as Hon'ble President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu and Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi together inaugurated 9 Mega Piped Water Supply Projects across Balasore, Koraput, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Dhenkanal, Rayagada and Bargarh districts. With an investment of over ₹1,258 crore, these transformative projects will provide safe and sustainable drinking water to more than 11.4 lakh people across 929 villages and 189 Gram Panchayats. Beyond ensuring tap water at households, the projects will improve public health, reduce the drudgery of water collection, empower women, enhance quality of life and strengthen water security for rural communities. These projects reaffirm the commitment towards realizing the vision of #HarGharJal and building a healthier, empowered and water-secure rural Odisha under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
