Today Year 2 learnt the importance of making instructions really clear and easy to follow. Who knew making a jam sandwich would be so difficult?🤷🏼♀️🥪 #instructions#Year2
Thanks so much for your generosity sharing this wonderful resource! It will be very helpful for my team planning this term using @gianfrancocont9 style methods.
I’ve created a bank of templates which has activities following the MARSEARS process to help me through lesson planning at new ‘Contified’ school - Inspired by others I’ve seen and including ideas from all over Twitter - 1/3
Thank you to everyone who's added their covid safe MFL ideas to the padlet so far. I haven't actually added any myself yet but will soon! If anyone else wants to add any the link is below ⬇️⬇️⬇️ https://t.co/x6AjEaNTqx
Last year's KS3 French road maps tweaked to reflect changes to SOW. Love how these look. A3 laminated versions in each classroom & A5 copy on book front covers. Colours match books too! Practical doesn't mean boring or plain. #mfltwitterati#makeitlookgood
@allswmfl really enjoyed the session and have so many ideas! I'd be interested to know whether colleagues introduce the parrallel texts and sentence builders together or separately, and a topic at a time or give students everything for the year ahead? #mflKOcpd
@katielockett@ChellsyManning@allswmfl thanks so much for input. I've been asked if I want to print things in advance which is why I'm considering the best method. I'm wondering whether the sentence builder and parrallel texts could be holepunches in their book so they can move it around..
@ChellsyManning@allswmfl we have previously given "knowledge organisers" filles with parallel texts etc at the beginning to Year 10/11 for use in class and at home but I want to be more strategic in KS3. We've been using sentence builders with KS3 and introduced through each topic
I don’t want to alarm you all but tickets to this are flying off the virtual shelves like nothing we’ve ever seen before. It looks to be our biggest event EVER!🚨
If you would like to join us on 8th July I’d suggest getting a ticket ASAP! 🍹☀️

Worked with colleagues to brainstorm ideas about what we as educators can do. I have designed and created a resource that schools could use to support students, black students in particular. Please share and use! #edutwitter#antiracism#BlackMentalHealth#BlackLivesMattter
This thread is well worth a read. There are uncomfortable conversations that need to be had if you haven't started already. My white privilege will never go away so as educators we need to be aware of how we can open up discussions in classrooms and be actively anti racist.
Teachers: if you haven't been shaken up by the events of this week, well frankly, you should have. The world is locked into a conversation surrounding racism & race politics. It's not always a well handled conversation but we do our kids a disservice by not inviting them into it.
