Cambodian Police Cadets Demonstrate Hand-to-Hand Combat Techniques
The Cambodian Police Academy held a demonstration of martial arts and intervention techniques performed by cadets, covering drug enforcement, juvenile offenders, and tactical operations.
The drug enforcement segment featured four techniques against suspects armed with knives and other weapons. Cadets demonstrated neck grabs with elbow strikes, intercepting an armed suspect mid-reach, a wrist lock disarm, and a ground takedown. Each ended with the suspect handcuffed.
The juvenile offender segment, set against traffic violations, showed three counters: dropping the elbow against a neck grab, breaking the arm and spinning in, and a hip-powered takedown against a grab attempt. The demonstration closed with hostage rescue drills and rappelling.
Earlier this morning I stopped by the Huione Pay/HPay protest at the National Bank, where 20 representatives came to discuss if they can get their investments returned. By this afternoon, attendees told me the protest became violent. (Video supplied) https://t.co/9jVWz7G7ys
