President @HassanSMohamud officially signed the new Constitution of the Federal Republic of Somalia following its historic passage by a joint sitting of both chambers of the Federal Parliament.

At the signing ceremony, the President stated that the government will now begin the effective implementation of the new Constitution, noting that it will serve as the foundation for strengthening state institutions, safeguarding citizens’ rights, and advancing the country’s democratic system.

The President was joined by the Speaker of the House of the People, H.E. Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe), the Speaker of the Upper House, H.E. Senator Abdi Hashi Abdullahi, and the Chairpersons of the Constitutional Review Committees.
