Safe to say Quantum Computing became the next major theme huh?
Since this post:
$QUBT $1 to $17
$QBTS $1 to $9
$RGTI $0.80 to $9
$IONQ $10 to $40
Unbelievable.
This was the first bullish close we’ve had in over a week. Constructive.
I like how we got this action on a day like today where the US and Ukraine failed to come to an agreement, this type of news a few days ago would’ve sent the market way lower.
Instead the news was bought.
We’re just one month into the Trump presidency btw we still have 4 years left of this headline driven volatility.
Everyone will be bald, anxious, or have grey hair by the time this term is over, probably bullish for $HIMS.
$BTC is essentially a leveraged NASDAQ and often foreshadows what’s to come for stocks.
When Bitcoin bottoms, stocks will likely follow. Simple but useful indicator.
Anyone you follow saying we have a “generational” or “great” buying opportunity right now with the market not even 5% off all time highs, just unfollow and or mute.
The type of candle $LMND put in after earnings yesterday is one of my favorite setups, one to study.
When a stock sells off after earnings but recovers and puts in a big green candle, watch it. $ROOT $UPST good comps in AI insurance.
Chart looks legit if market can bounce.
1) If you can’t accept and be ok with being wrong while trading, find something else to do.
2) If you get mad at people on here when their ideas don’t work or you take a loss on an idea, self reflect. Don’t be the person blaming the world for your losses.
It’s part of the game.
We still haven’t even begun the physical embodied AI phase yet (robots, autonomous cars) so I have a hard time believing the AI trade is completely done.
Nvidia might not be the fast moving, volatile stock it once was but I’m not of the mindset it’s topped out completely.
$NVDA came across as “good enough” to me. We’ll see if the market agrees in the coming days.
Blackwell revenue came in $2B higher than expected, they guided higher, 55% net income margins, and profits were +145% YOY. Blackwell Ultra and Rubin coming is really positive news too.
Is the rapid growth likely over? Yes, but the AI story isn’t. It’s harder to go from $3T to $6T than it is $1T to $2T so stock expectations should be tempered. Regardless the AI revolution doesn’t seem to be slowing down at all, it actually looks to be accelerating.
The rerating for $SNOW is starting now.
AI data powerhouse. OpenAI partnership should start the narrative that Snowflake is actually a legit AI player.
Really nice quarter, EPS beat pops off the screen. It’s clear the new CEO found his footing. Over $190 this can start to fly.
Plenty of strength in the momentum names today.
$TEM $PLTR $HOOD $ASTS $CVNA $RDDT to name a few.
Many of these were due for bounces, the real test will be in the coming days/weeks. Dead cat bounces? Or legit bottoms?
Pray for $NVDA earnings.
The moves we’re seeing in China stocks closely resembles what we saw in US tech out of the 2022 bear market.
China was one of the best performing sectors in Trump’s first term. Something like $BABA at $140 might be like $META at $200.
The volume and price action is serious.
I’m willing to take a papercut or two to catch a big bounce, even if it’s not “the” low I’ve made good $ catching the mini bounces that happen before “the” low.
I don’t use the fear and greed index as a solo indicator but I do use it to gauge sentiment and I can’t recall a time where I’ve ever regretted buying in the extreme fear zone.
Feels odd that the market is only down about 4% and we’re seeing this level of capitulation but when you have such high concentration in speculative “high growth” names like Oklo, it’s not surprising to see such an intense washout.
Today is the type of day for a dip buyer to take a stab on something like $PLTR $HOOD $RDDT etc. and put a stop near today’s LOD.
Risk reward on these high flying growth names seems worthwhile for a short term bounce. If you get stopped out, you risked 1-2%.
No risk no reward.
Another thing I watch is earnings reactions. We’ve had a number of bullish earnings gaps but they’re quickly being filled right back down. To me this looks like big money is using that liquidity to sell into the upside moves.
I’m not bearish but I’m very aware of what I’m seeing.
The velocity of the moves we’re seeing in leaders like $PLTR $HIMS $TSLA $OKLO $APP $RDDT etc. is staggering. Indices are holding up fine only down 2% or so which is a good sign but if they finally start to slip the downside moves will accelerate further.
