Yesterday, I submitted my undergraduate dissertation on conceptualising mediation for domestic abuse survivors after LASPO, supervised by the incredible @rachaeljblakey. It has been a culmination of (almost a year!) of readings, sweat, and tears (and many long emails...)
WOW! President Biden just MASTERFULLY got the Republicans to publicly promise to keep their hands off Medicare and Social Security. A brilliant chess move on live TV. The GOP walked right into it.
@metaburbia@gsoh31 The amount of my own work I’ve had to put in researching, planning, formulating, writing and refining essays makes up for the lack of contact hours. The bottom line is that is STEM and Humanities degrees are different, but that does not make them unequal or less demanding.
There’s nothing better than leaving the women behind and going on a golf trip with the boys.
Foursomes with the boys every morning and afternoon, steaks and domestic beer at night.
The left hates this.
@holydrones @gsoh31@BBCr4today Philosophy is absolutely crucial to understanding the world we live in - all the answers (and questions) to the big questions! Can’t speak for theology though 😃
@gsoh31@BBCr4today I’m studying History and Philosophy. I have never met anyone who has put in ‘minimum effort’ and still got a 2:1, plus the effort/grade ratio between a low and a high 2:1 is massive, at least at my university. STEM and A&H degrees are equally rigorous, just in different ways.
