I was reminded this weekend of how beautiful and important capturing moments & memories are. As family gets older and the brevity of life becomes more apparent, I know reliving this point of time in the coming years will be a source of joy.
As Christians, we must not equate “attacks of the devil” with the work of God bringing to light that which one has hidden in the dark.
The Church—the Body of Christ—can not be a conduit of healing to areas that one continues to hide.
We don’t need to re-invent ourselves;
We don’t need to re-brand ourselves;
We don’t need to re-imagine ourselves.
We need to re-pent: turning to God and allowing His grace and mercy to cover our life!
Christ is not some abstract, lofty idea; but a Person to be interacted with. AND - from such an encounter - we then participate in the redemptive work He set forth in the world.
Temptations are opportunities to choose God.
BUT when we fail & give in to the temptation, it’s a reminder that though we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
It’s not my goodness that sets me free, but Jesus & only Jesus.
