Five years ago, @brooksbratten and @TomAWillis took a chance on me and gave me a once in a lifetime opportunity to join the Nashville Predators as a digital and editorial content intern.
I didn’t know it at the time, but that internship would lead to five years of wonderful memories, lifelong friendships and, last but not least, the opportunity to share part of the journey with all of you, the greatest fans in the world.
Words can’t begin to describe how much I’m going to miss being a part of that moving forward, but as the puck drops for Opening Night it feels nothing short of poetic to hand the torch back to the same person who graciously brought me under its light all those years ago.
I’ll be seeing you all around as a fan this year, and what a year it’s going to be. With all my love, support and gratitude - let’s go Preds! 💛
Hey, Smashville - I've missed the #Preds, I've missed the game and I've missed you. So, I've got some news...
See you for Opening Night --> https://t.co/aEIrPmSZDI
Pete Weber has announced plans to step back from the road in 2024-25, with @1025TheGame's Max Herz set to take over on the mic.
“I am not saying goodbye, but instead stating that I want it to last as long as it can.”

#Preds HC Andrew Brunette on the shorter learning curve for his players entering camp this year vs. last year:
“Those were some long days… I think the expectation of what my demands are have been met. You probably couldn't say the same thing last year at this time. So, I think they understood, and the majority of them went through it last year and saw how hard we had to work, and they brought that work ethic for the first two days.”
#Preds defenseman Brady Skjei on playing opposite Roman Josi in the first two days of Training Camp:
“It's been a ton of fun. Obviously, he’s one of the best players in the League and one of the best defensemen. I’m just trying to get a feel for him and work off him, and at the same time trying to play my game and contribute at both ends of the rink.”
Had to ask known Drake aficionado Luke Evangelista his thoughts on this summer’s feud with Kendrick Lamar - his answer did not disappoint:

Jonathan Marchessault’s turn in front of the backdrop:
“What surprised me a lot was how tight of a group it is here. I've been in the spot where we’ve had a really tight group before, and I didn't think there was anything like that somewhere else. And showing up here, I think it's really similar.”
Stamkos says this was probably one of the fastest-paced first days of Training Camp he’s experienced:
“It was day one at camp, but it certainly didn't have that feel. It felt like the guys came in with a purpose… It was great to see.”
Roman Josi and Ryan O’Reilly both said July 1 was “like Christmas Day.”
I expect that same sentiment will be heard a few more times before the team wraps things up at Ford Ice today.
#Preds forward Ryan O’Reilly:
“We have a chance and a window to win here. The mindset is that we’ve gotta go prove we’re the best, and it starts today.”
#Preds Captain Roman Josi looking ahead to 2024-25:
“We know what made us successful last year. It was the work and playing as a team, and that doesn't change, even with guys like [Stamkos, Marchessault and Skjei]. And that's what training camp is for.”
We are so back.
#Preds on-ice Training Camp sessions begin today at Ford Ice Center Bellevue.

“When it comes down to it, this is still a workman's League. You have to work every night together to have success in this league, and I think we have a really good profile to do that.”
#Preds GM Barry Trotz opens the first day of Training Camp at FIC Bellevue:
“Everybody’s talking about expectations, let’s just win a round. Once you get past that first series… Then it becomes real.”
