Word is Out! Highlander Baseball is proud to welcome RHP AJ Frausto to the 2027 squad!

He’s Battled, Found his Spot and will lace them up at the Plex!

AJ comes from the California State Champions ~ Santa Ana College Dons
@SACDons. Appearing in 15 games, mostly in relief and striking out 18 in 21.1 innings in 2026.

His freshman year in 2025 he was with the Toreros of the University of San Diego @USDbaseball ~ throwing 12 games in relief. The big one was in a 14 inning win at #14 UCLA. AJ pitched two scoreless innings, the 9th and 10th. The win started a 10 game win streak and was a season changer!

AJ is a 2024 graduate of El Dorado High School in Placentia. As a Golden Hawk he posted a 1.69 ERA in over 90 innings in his varsity career. Earning All League honors his junior and senior years!

This summer you can catch him pitching for the OC Riptide @ocriptide in the California Collegiate League @CCL_Baseball

And in 2027 his journey continues ~ at the University of California, Riverside!

Can’t say enough great things about Nikko. If you want someone who will run through a brick wall for your team he is a no brainer. Great talent on the field but also a good teammate. Hard nosed player who worked his butt off this year. He will be a great get for his next school!!
