All these coaches that love to give up easy 3’s to go for it on 4thdown may start to reconsider. Ben Johnson bypassed FG’s a couple times last week and lost in OT. Sean Payton gave up a chip shot to go up 10-0 early and lost 10-7. I bet they both would have loved those 3-points.
Wolves have to be one of the worst teams
to end quarters/games. Other coaches seem to draw up plays coming out of TO’s, Wolves pass around & jack 3’s or rely on hero ball. Coaches make their $ in these situations, never feel Finch makes a difference? Jon? @JonKrawczynski
You have to respect coaches who take chances, make aggressive decisions…they coach to win the game. Other coaches play it safe, think worst case, and coach scared. Respect to Cignetti, not many coaches play for points at the end of the half in that situation, even when at home.
I've watched Garrett Nussmeier play many times, and still have yet to figure out why he is included as a 1st rounder in every mock draft. He doesn't have a big arm, he's not an elite athlete, and he's not physically imposing (6' 1", 205). Some NFL team will make a major mistake.
I wish the media would release a protocol for an acceptable way for an AD to fire a coach. No matter how it’s done, they criticized how it was done. How about give a guy credit for flying home, meeting face-to-face, before having to fly straight back to his previous location.
A lot of time left in Free Agency but weren’t we told the Vikings were one of the teams with the most money to spend? The fact they have signed one guy, and lost over a handful of guys is usually for teams who are over the cap. #SKOL
@RyanJamesMN That’s true. Plus you need to factor in just how tough Penn State is on the road. Takes a really good team to beat them. Almost had to play a perfect game.
When are Gophers fans going to learn. You cannot positively project. Get a big win in football and you start thinking NYD bowl, and you get a loss to Rutgers. The hoops teams sweeps the LA teams and you start talking about not playing until Thursday in the B1G tourney…
Yet another masterful offensive finish by the Wolves. Does Finch ever dial up a good shot late in the game or in a must make situation? The last four minutes were possessions dominated by turnovers or last second on the shot clock or game clock desperation shots.
The big time pressure may be too much for Darnold. He is clearly in a daze. Consistently missing his mark. Even the big play to Jefferson to get 1st and Goal was off the mark and required a big time catch by JJ.
The initial 12-team @CFBPlayoff :
1 - Oregon
2 - Georgia
3 - Arizona State
4 - Boise State
5 - Penn State v 12 - SMU
6 - Notre Dame v 11 - Clemson
7 - Texas v 10 - Indiana
8 - Ohio State v 9 - Tennessee
You are fighting for your Big Ten life, and those are the four plays you produce? I cannot justify giving Ohio State a spot in the playoff. That was brutal.
@Brett_McMurphy It is crazy talk. I mean even if Georgia loses tonight and next week to Texas or A&M they should be in the playoff...right? I mean look at how tough their schedule was! We shouldn't actually expect them to win games with that type of schedule.
@StPaulGoph@flugempire I am not saying Lindsay is leaving. I am just saying you can no longer look forward to the next season until June or July. And. If Drake Lindsay went into the portal, he would have a lot of schools to pick from.
