It’s hard to accept that the U.S. is heading towards democratic collapse.
So, I photoshopped some potential headlines to show #WhatsToCome if we don’t act now…
National Scam Survivor Day is a reminder that we need to use every tool at our disposal to support scam victims and hold platforms accountable for their role in online scams.

In March, I went to Long Island to talk about the importance of protecting New Yorkers from these online scams.

Every day, New Yorkers are targeted by scam ads on social media. But Big Tech refuses to act—because they profit from it.
I’m pushing to hold social media accountable by cracking down on scams and forcing them to actually enforce their own anti-fraud policies.
Online fraud has become a crisis, and Big Tech is profiting off it. Meanwhile, all of us are paying the price.
I joined @LeroyComrie to push for his bill to prevent social media companies from pushing fraudulent ads, so we can protect New Yorkers from online rip-offs.
Here’s the thing: there are some politicians for whom this is just a good line, which it is. But for @AOC, it’s not just that. It’s really who she is. She’s one of the most genuinely selfless leaders I’ve ever met.
New Yorkers should not be paying different prices for the same products.

We need to ask ourselves an important question about our AI future.
What happens to the human soul if we outsource basic functions - like friendship, creativity and problem solving - to machines? The answer shouldn't just be left to industry. It needs to involve all of us.
Right now, we’re letting powerful tech companies mess with our kids’ brains and get away with it.
Why? Because it’s profitable.
It’s time to put our kids first. When I'm in the Senate, I’ll do just that.
"McMorrow, a state senator who currently leads polling in the Democratic primary, is among the first Democrats running for national office this year to roll out a comprehensive plan for kids' online safety."

NEW: 280 state lawmakers from 43 states are urging Congress to reject AI law preemption in the NDAA.
We cannot tie the hands of state lawmakers working to protect kids, workers, and Americans from emerging AI harms.

This is what real leadership looks like. Governor Hochul's forward-thinking vision for AI will keep New Yorkers protected and competitive—and Congress would be right to learn from her example.
I just filed legislation that would limit the use of AI powered surveillance pricing and wage fixing — a practice where companies use personal data collected of consumers and workers to raise prices and lower wages.
An example of the type of consumer and worker protection laws that Trump would be challenging with this action.
So…he wants us to go through 50 states when it comes to regulating women’s bodies but not when it comes to AI?
Let's be clear: we need a federal solution. But we need one that's crafted by experts and doesn't sell you out to the highest bidder. Until then, states must act.
