I keep thinking about the contrast in ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER between the French 75's "do you know the password/text/jargon" litmus test type of activism & Sergio's "if you can help, you're welcome to join us" type of activism.
This modern western has a lot to say and is certainly additive to the genre. It’s thrilling, entertaining, and for me, spawned a lot of great conversation afterwards. If you’re frustrated by usual slate of Hollywood movies, well, this is the original film for you.
Can’t recommend AMERICANA enough.
If you like Tarantino, Coen Brothers, and/or Taylor Sheridan-style stories, do not miss this film.
Written & directed by @tonytost, this debut ensemble film gripped me from the first frame.
