If you told me I’d be back in campus in 15 years to give a lecture I’d have wondered if you were ill. Major life milestone today! @ University of Notre Dame https://t.co/kPBBFtA0JJ
This drives me absolutely crazy. The #Mariners have been one of the most profitable in all of baseball. This tells your fanbase that you just don’t care.
“We are a just product of market size. We’re fine always being avg in payroll.” BS. It’s a painful excuse to read. #Mariners
It's settled analysis, aside from the most data-averse cranks, that Canó's contract was good for Seattle. No contract is immovable, & last winter Mariners FO & ownership proved they'll dump talent to shed salary.
Stanton's "strategy" isn't serious, no need to treat it as such.
On this day 20 years ago the University of Utah Orthopaedic Center opened its doors to the public. 🩻🏥🎂🎇
20 years later we have the privilege of meeting some of the giants upon whose shoulders we currently stand.

“It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone.”
The worst part about tonight is knowing it will never get better for the Mariners. Not with this ownership/front office. Who cares what bargain bin free agent they sign next year or whoever they trade away that will inevitably be better elsewhere. It’s all the same. We’ll still field one of the worst offenses in baseball next year, Putz around in the WC chase until late September 2025, then miss out on the postseason by a few games. The same cast of characters will call us bad fans for having the audacity for wanting more from the only team to never make the World Series, how we should be pacified with speciality nights, and being slightly above terrible. Wash, rinse, repeat. Nothing ever changes with the Seattle Mariners.
That inning ended when Garver struck out. I really hope the Mariners sit and watch this celebration tonight and it cuts them deep. That could’ve been them, and all they had to do was not be bad for 3 months. Hopefully it motivates them to put in the work this winter
Bryce Miller was dealing with back stiffness in his warmup. Said he knew it was a big game and he needed to do what he knew he could do. 7IP 2H 0R 2BB 5K 97/67. 20 (!) swing and miss!
And he did it with his grandpa in the stands seeing him pitch here for the 1st time.
The Seattle Mariners have had an extremely inconsistent year but here are my thoughts on some statements I’ve seen:
1. Julio has underperformed this season and nobody is harder on himself, then him. He will be just fine.
2. Before blaming Julio for everything, there are 5+ other guys you could blame for COMPLETELY underperforming this season.
3. Julio was a superstar his first 2 seasons (look at the stats, two 5.8 WAR seasons, stop lying to yourself)
4. The Mariners have completely failed in back-to-back seasons to build around their superstar🤷

Dan Wilson on Julio Rodriguez:
“He came into my office and apologized for making a mistake there. I really respect him for that, and we had a good conversation.”
They should have never taken the team away in the first place. It’s insane that it’s been nearly 20 years since we lost the Sonics. Hopefully, we get our NBA team back soon.
