@lintr6327 @Pro__Trading So, we just drop boxes of weapons inside of Iran and hope they get to the right people? How many weapons? Enough to overthrow the current regime? I find this hard to believe. Maybe I'm wrong.
@Cryptonic202020@Pro__Trading Great, we're going to take a couple islands in the middle of a tiny strait so that Iran can bombard those tiny islands with American troops sitting on them? Seems like a really good idea to me! Lets go for it!
@erienamunson70@Pro__Trading Great. We've disabled their military, yet they still lob missiles and drones everyday and somehow keep the Strait of Hormuz closed. Pretty amazing thing a "disabled" military can do!
Agreed. We could target power and oil. Then when Iran responds by hitting the power and oil of Gulf states, how do we respond to that?
As for drawing out the IRGC. I don't really know what you mean. Seems like if we could do that, it would already be done.
I do see how evil and depraved this regime is, but I also see where this conflict is going and it does not look good. I honestly hope I'm wrong.
@GypsyPatriot_ I haven't decided if I'm voting or not in the next election. I do know I hate being lied to and yes, this administration LIED. I'll see what my options are and make my decision at that time. I will say, I'm very discouraged.
"After WWII the Nazis were defeated". Yeah, they were. Do you know what it took to do that? MILLIONS of people died to make that happen. Do you honestly believe that Iran is such a big threat that it requires American blood? I don't think so, and I'm willing to bet most Americans agree.
I know our government had a plan, but it didn't work. The plan was to kill the top leadership of Iran to topple the regime. It didn't work. What's the plan now? Iran is now more hardened than they've ever been. The Iranian people are NOT overthrowing the regime, and the US is stuck between two choices: End the war now and try to save face or continue to escalate this thing until it becomes a full blown war.
The only way to end the "Iranian Threat" is to topple the regime. Since our original plan failed, what now?
So then what are you arguing for. Because our "limited operation" did not topple the regime. You're decrying negotiations while the president is actively negotiating. We can either take a negotiated off ramp (If Iran will agree), or we can continue to escalate. What does escalation lead to? How deep are we willing to get into this war to topple the regime? If our goal is to stop Iran from having a nuclear weapon, our only option, really, is an invasion that roots out the current regime. I don't think the public will support that.
@ketchphrase@FmrRepMTG I truly hope it works out. But let’s be honest, this is not the kind of war the administration expected. It’s turning in the a quagmire, and fast. I honestly hope you are correct. I just don’t see how it ends up better than it was before it started.
@BisonFiver@StevenR55631@FmrRepMTG Do you think this military operation is ensuring that Iran will not obtain a nuke? Because it looks like it’s only making the regime race to one faster. That is only one of the consequences of this war.
@casenorthdakota@FmrRepMTG Finish it HOW? Because it looks like it’s nowhere near over. Are you ok with ground operations? Because that’s where this is headed. Either that or some “negotiated” peace that puts us in a worse position than we were at the beginning of the war.
@LineScriptures@FmrRepMTG And you think the train wreck is going to suddenly disappear? It looks to me like it’s only hardened to regimes grip and confirmed their ambitions. This is a disaster.
@EInspiration26@FmrRepMTG And you think this war is going to stop the regime from chanting death to America? It seems to me that what we are doing is only going to make those chants louder.
