Amaya is expendable with Kelly being your main catcher at that cost and Ayers/Ballesteros splitting time in '27

@RVWoods82 @Michael_Cerami Carson is 31 and affordable. I'd honestly be shocked if he isn't re-upped. Cubs have a surplus at catcher in the system, so if they can use Amaya to bring back some sort of RP help either in the short term or long term, I'm in.

@Andrew_FBB I agree, they'll look to make a push. They were hesitant to pay the price last deadline for Cabrera, Gore, Ryan & settled on Soroka so not sure how much of a push that'll be.

Hartshorn just fits what they're looking for right now in LH power, just like their 26 draft class.
