Why do we give other people’s opinion any weight? Especially those of people that do not know you personally.

If I listened to all of the people that said “you can’t do that”, “you’re too small”, or “that’s not possible”, I would lose ownership of my life. Do not give weight to other people’s opinion, which is a reflection of their limitations or belief in themselves, not of your limitations.

2017: 5’11” 155lbs HS Senior w/ 4 FCS Offers
2022: 6’0” 190lbs FCS Starting QB
2023: UDFA signing a contract with the Baltimore Ravens sharing a meeting room with Lamar Jackson
2025: Signing my 3rd Professional Contract

Throughout those 12 years, I’ve heard it all. I was never the top projection. I was never the most talented. Never the guy to bet on.

But, I chose to bet on myself. Others limitations didn’t impact what I wanted to be and what I knew I could be.

Use the doubters as fuel and develop a work ethic and belief that matches your goals. Dream daringly, do not place limitations on yourself. Others will do that for you. I “wasn’t supposed to be here” according to the masses. But the masses don’t wake up early and grind, the masses don’t see the work it took. The masses live safe lives and subconsciously place limitations on themselves.
