Paraphrasing the aphorism coined by Ben Shapiro, “Facts don’t care about your feelings.” I don’t disagree with the quote, but I think the conclusion many draw from it is misguided. Logic and Reason are cognitive tools, but our emotions and feelings are inherent in belief.
Facts don’t care about feelings; they depend on them. Only when you feel no doubt can you believe a fact. Facts don’t need to care. It’s your feelings you’ll need if you want to believe in anything.
