Hello, quick NY-17 precinct winner map (minus the Dutchess County portion of the distict)!
Cait Conley (blue) won 49-31% over Beth Davidson (green). Orange is Effie Guadalupe Phillips-Staley.
Full map once I combine the combined Dutchess precincts tonight!
Congratulations to decorated combat veteran and West Point graduate @CaitforNewYork on her primary victory tonight.
Cait defended this country in uniform, and now she's taking the fight to Mike Lawler.
She is going to flip NY-17 from red to blue in November!
Thank you to the voters of New York’s 17th district who trusted me with their vote to be our fighter who takes on Mike Lawler in November. To everyone who voted for another candidate, I look forward to the opportunity to earn your support in taking back the Hudson Valley. We are united now by something much bigger than any one campaign: the fight to defeat Mike Lawler, take back the House, check this Administration, and deliver for the working families of the Hudson Valley.
My entire life, I have stepped up to solve some of the toughest problems facing our country and delivered results when it mattered most. I spent 16 years in the Army, deploying six times to combat zones to keep our families safe. I’ve gone from the battlefield to the Situation Room when the stakes were life and death, and I sure as hell am not afraid of a lifelong political hack like Mike Lawler.
Mike Lawler has had four years to fight for this district. But instead, he has put his own political career over our communities, chosen corruption over service, and voted 100% of the time with a MAGA agenda that has gutted our healthcare, jacked up costs, and undermined our democracy and freedoms. I didn't serve this country to watch it get sold out by a career politician who would rather protect his party than his constituents.
The people of the Hudson Valley deserve better. They deserve a representative who fights for the veteran trying to get the benefits they earned, the senior trying to afford a prescription, the parent trying to keep up with grocery bills, the immigrant family searching for a brighter future, the small-business owner trying to make payroll, and the young person wondering whether they can afford to build a life here. Tonight, we celebrate. Tomorrow, we get back to work and take our country back.
NEW: @lawler4ny is meddling in the Democratic primary for his seat.
🚨According to one person familiar, his team has made calls to the ultra-Orthodox community, asking them to get out the vote for Democrat @BethDavidson17 because he doesn't want to face @CaitforNewYork
🚨He posted a video on Friday of someone who looks to be a Gen-Z political influencer slamming @CaitforNewYork. But the video wasn't clipped from some left-leaning streamer, it was actually produced by a member his own staff, which he did not disclose
🚨 All the while, his desire to attack @BethDavidson17 has waned. And he's sent out anonymous text blasts attacking @CaitforNewYork and sued to knock @effie4congress off the ballot in recent months
Sarah McBride: “Congress’ top bathroom sheriff, Nancy Mace, was on the ballot. And while all of the votes have not yet been counted, she’s in a respectful 5th place. I don’t like to punch down and I believe in the politics of grace, so I’ll just say, Happy Pride, Nancy.”
@randomuser34891@admcrlsn Conley is the most electable IMO, her military background and service appeals to most people in our district! (from a fellow NY-17 resident and involved in local politics)
I’m humbled and deeply grateful for Jessica’s support.
Jessica is a pillar of our community. She has spent years delivering for families at 914Cares, and I’m honored to have her partnership to deliver for the Hudson Valley.
This fight to bring leaders of character to NY-17 is one I know I can win, but I cannot win it alone.
Together, we’re going to keep building a campaign rooted in service and action, one that puts people first and leaves nobody behind.
There’s so much work ahead to make sure every family in NY-17 has the opportunity to thrive, and I’m proud to take on that work in partnership with leaders like Jessica.
Just landed in D.C. and wanted to give you some encouragement.
My flight attendant Linda has 12 kids. She told me they all want families, homes, and a shot at the American Dream, but no one’s speaking to them about it.
The youth aren’t lost. They’re ready to build a future. They just need leaders who care enough to fight for it.
That’s exactly what we are here in DC for. Get ready.
It's refreshing when they openly admit that this is all they care about. It just validates every belief I have about how the media sold out democracy for access, which helped Ms. Collins buy herself a nice vacation home on Nantucket.
Last year, CNN ran a “fact check” of Kamala HQ that claimed we were lying for saying Trump’s plan is Project 2025.
Now Trump is outright admitting it’s his plan.
Legacy media failed the country.
