In honor of Dolly Parton’s life and work, it is an honor to proclaim 9/25 “9 to 5 Day – or Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Day of Reading.”
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has helped millions of children discover the joy of reading, including more than 240,000 children across North Carolina. Her generosity has also made a difference for families in western North Carolina recovering from Hurricane Helene.
Dolly has left an incredible mark on our state and on generations of children, and it’s an honor to recognize her legacy.

NC voters will vote on a "property tax cap" amendment on the '26 ballot. It actually offers a state constitutional amendment requiring state lawmakers to pass a future law...& craft the details of a tax cap later. @HenryHinton1 looks past the ballot & wants tax cap details.
