Mr. Secretary-General, your words about peace and protecting civilians sound hollow when you fail to confront the terrorism threatening Saudi Arabia.
We know that the United Nations has too often appeared more concerned with pressuring nations fighting terrorism than with holding terrorist groups accountable. Who is protecting innocent civilians when terrorist groups are allowed to threaten their security without facing adequate accountability?
The Houthis have repeatedly threatened Saudi Arabia and attacked its territory. Peace does not mean asking the victims to stand down while terrorists continue their aggression. Diplomacy must never become a shield for terrorism.
And why Egypt? If you genuinely want to discuss the war affecting Saudi Arabia and regional security, go to Riyadh and address the Kingdom directly. Saudi Arabia is the country whose security is at stake. Egypt is not a substitute for speaking directly to the nation facing these threats.
Do not lecture us about peace while overlooking the threats against our country. The Saudi people deserve security, justice, and the same protection you claim to advocate for everyone else.
Peace without accountability is not peace. Diplomacy without justice is hypocrisy. And protecting civilians must never mean protecting terrorists from accountability.๐ธ๐ฆ
