Moving words by @GeorgeThePoet today @BrentHarrowPSC. Thank you.
"Resist normalising this genocide... It's important that we allow ourselves to feel that disgust in our stomachs... Shed a tear for Palestine when it hits you. Allow yourself to cry... to have a day of depression."
If Netanyahu steps foot on British soil, Labour govt will permit his arrest.
Same govt is currently sending a spy flight every day over Gaza and handing the intel to his regime.
Untenable. Ground the spy flights, @Keir_Starmer. And bring home the British spy squad in Israel.
The International Criminal Court has just issued arrest warrants for the Israeli Prime Minister and the ex defence minister for committing war crimes and crimes against humanity.
This was the UKs foreign secretary, David Lammy, in September ⬇️
A more in-depth look as to what unfolded in Court this week as part of @GLAN_LAW's efforts with @alhaq_org to push for a complete ban on arms transfers to Israel.
We’re here at the High Court today w @alhaq_org to continue our fight to stop arms exports to Israel. The govt have allowed F-35 fighter jet parts to reach Israel via the global programme - despite admitting the clear risk they may be used in violations of international law. 🧵
"To the people of Gaza, I write to you in my state of love and grief..."
Fatema Zainab Rajwani has spent almost 100 days in jail accused of shutting down Elbit Systems with Palestine Action.
Her mother read a poem she has written for Gaza in jail, and it moved me to tears.
Colonisers openly & proudly colonising, with the help of everyone who shared their atrocity propaganda, everyone who presented atrocities as 'self-defence', & everyone maintaining a position of genocide denial (@DavidLammy )
This is a very conservative estimate. It assumes that:
- The dead have been counted (many people are under the rubble, never to be taken to a grave)
- Palestinian children under 5 are just as likely as adults to die from Israeli violence (they're actually much more vulnerable)
Since launching 24 hours ago this has risen to a total of 4,500 writers and publishing professionals pledging to boycott all complicit Israeli institutions.
Names are coming in faster than we can process them.
This poem brings back an unpleasant memory of a former newsroom colleague snapping at me “There’s no such thing as Palestine!”, when I had (in their view) the audacity to use the word.
“You entered Gaza to take revenge as much as possible, on women, on children, on everything you saw. That’s what you wanted.”During the funeral of Shoval Ben Nathan — an Israeli soldier killed in Lebanon last Wednesday — his brother, Uriah Ben Nathan, mourned his death and stated that his brother entered Gaza to “take revenge” on “women and children.”
Yedidya Efrati, a friend from Ben Nathan’s brigade, also spoke at the funeral, recalling an incident where Ben Nathan had burned down a house in Gaza “for the fun of it.”
I have formally written to The Charity Commission requesting they investigate the Runnymede Trust and remove their charitable status.
The watchdog is now “assessing concerns”.
They are clearly a dangerous organisation pouring poison into our society.

Writer @NaomiAKlein explains how the Israeli government is "fusing" the story of October 7 with the Holocaust to create "a new national identity" in an attempt to justify Israel's expansionist assault into Gaza.
