@AiliaZehra I feel we may have to expand outwards from narrow paradigms of ‘IK is good and minorities are safe’ & ‘IK is pathetic & weak and minorities are unsafe’ to more structural questions about how violence on minorities is perpetrated repeatedly without any lasting accountability
2. Is there a gap in our knowledge of who is doing the violence? Or do we know exactly who is doing what but there’s a gap in our ability to go after them?
3. Or do we have both knowledge & ability BUT action requires huge change in our vision, goals & iron grip on Balochistan?
Seeing IK being called out for his callous remarks is absolutely critical but there’s a need for us, as a society, to dig deeper, hold our immediate reactions, and from quickly just scapegoating IK for minorities’ plight and ask fundamental & perhaps difficult questions (1/4)
1. Who is deciding the vision for Balochistan and it’s people? Is the voice of Pashtuns, Balochs and Hazaras feeding in any way into this vision? Are they given any right as stakeholders to determine the lives they can lead?
