I’m amazed at Pakistani media channels. The economy is in its worst state with so much unemployment, poverty, inflation, lack of investment, falling exports. In addition Balochistan & Kp are facing the most serious terrorist activities while Azad Kashmir is in turmoil.
But check our tv channels - almost exclusively talking about foreign policy as if our citizens are having the best time of their lives & there is nothing to discuss or debate.
Precisely for this reason social media is so much watched and read.

Afghan cricketer Rashid Khan has recently published a book in which he reflects on his early life. He writes that due to the difficult situation in Afghanistan, his family migrated to Pakistan, where he spent much of his childhood.

He lived in a refugee camp in Peshawar and studied computer science at Islamia College Peshawar. He also trained for a few months at a local cricket academy to learn the basics of the game. Later, he spent several years in Rawalpindi, where a club gave him the opportunity to play. The Pakistan Cricket Board then allowed him to participate in domestic cricket, where he was included in the Abbottabad region team and received the same financial support as other local players.

The passage suggests that Rashid Khan acknowledges Pakistan’s support during his early struggles and credits it as a stepping stone into cricket. It also notes, with a critical tone, that after gaining success and earning large sums in the IPL, he has referred to India as his second home.

Sir, people in Pakistan are known for their warm hospitality their “mehman nawazī” is truly admirable. They also lead a decent lifestyle.

The image we’ve grown up seeing, largely shaped by Bollywood, doesn’t always reflect reality. While we often mock or criticize them, they generally don’t respond in the same way in fact, many interact with Indians quite respectfully.

It’s mostly politics and media narratives that have created this divide. As people, we should rise above that and avoid unnecessary mockery! 🙏🏻
