Yet another sleepless night in Tehran for residents.
A friend whose elderly parents live in west Tehran near Mehrabad Airport said he received a text message from them saying that the “block’s windows had shattered” and that his parents had to shelter in an underground car park.
My family in Iran can’t call or text me, or even see news of bombings from across the country, but CNN’s reporter is able to broadcast live from Tehran and let everyone know tomorrow is a weekday.
Saleh Mohammadi, an Iranian athlete, is at risk of execution. He is innocent and took part in public protests to protest injustice. The Islamic Republic is executing Iran’s youth every day. Be Saleh’s voice . you may be able to save his life. #SalehMohammadi#IranMassacre
🔴 The Abdorrahman Boroumand Center has documented at least 552 executions carried out by the Islamic Republic so far in 2026, including 246 in February to date. At this pace, #Iran is on track to exceed last year’s number of executions - 2,105 - which was already the highest annual figure recorded since the 1980s.
🔸This number reflects individuals executed by Iran’s deeply flawed judicial system and does not include the thousands indiscriminately killed during the recent protests.
Be the voice of Mohammad Abbasi and his daughter Fatemeh Abbasi.
The father has been sentenced to death by Judge Salavati, and his daughter to 25 years in prison by the Islamic regime of Iran.
Their so-called “confessions” were extracted under torture and threats; including threats of sexual violence against his daughter, forcing them to admit to a fabricated scenario.

"The situation in #Iran remains volatile after the authorities killed thousands in a lethal crackdown in January," @UNHumanRights chief @volker_turk told the @UN Human Rights Council.
"There are continued reports of repression."
"Thousands of people are still missing."

A 19-year-old Iranian athlete, Arnika Dabbagh, was killed by security forces in the northern city of Gorgan during the nationwide protests, people familiar with the matter told Iran International.
Dabbagh was a student and a competitive swimmer who had won national titles in swimming competitions in Iran, the sources said.

My people are being slaughtered. This is beyond anything I could have imagined, even in my worst nightmare for Iran and for Iranians. The regime’s cruelty is deliberate and sadistic. We are seeing unbearable evidence and hearing eyewitness accounts that defy comprehension.
Just a week ago, there were scenes of hope - moments of euphoria in the streets, police officers waving, even cheering protesters on. And now we are here.
I don’t know what more to say, except this: may brighter days come. May we continue to stand firmly with the people of Iran. And for those of us in the diaspora, let us hold one another close, support each other and not look away.
Let me end with this: Don't stop talking about Iran.
Negin Ghadimi, 28, was shot by live ammunition during protests and died in her father’s arms moments later in Shahsavar, northern Iran.
When a regime that shoots unarmed women and leaves fathers holding their dying daughters, this is an execution.

.@UNHumanRights on #Iran 🇮🇷 :
"The killing of peaceful demonstrators must stop.
We urge the Iranian authorities to halt immediately all forms of violence and repression against peaceful protesters and to restore full access to the internet and telecommunication services."
The international community must take urgent diplomatic action to protect protesters from further massacres and confront the impunity that is driving the state policy of bloodshed. - @AgnesCallamard

It’s a special kind of hell to watch your compatriots being gunned down, being unable to reach your family, & dealing w/people who say it’s fake news.
Experiencing atrocity denial firsthand is maddening.
May this weigh heavily on your conscience for eternity.
For decades, the Iranian people have endured unimaginable oppression at the hands of a brutal dictatorship that has denied their humanity. We have been horrified at the reports coming out of Iran, including hospitals full of dead bodies—murdered by the regime—and protestors shot point-blank in the streets of Tehran and other cities.
But we have also been inspired by the resolve of Iranian activists, led largely by fearless women. Generations of Iranians have fought against the odds to establish a nation built on self-determination and human dignity, and it is our sincere prayer that this is the generation to achieve it.
Yesterday, @JustinTrudeau declared he's a Zionist. For those of us puzzled by Canada’s silence on Gaza’s genocide, this is no surprise.
Zionism, like Canadian settler-colonialism, is rooted in displacement and oppression. As a PM who claims to recognize colonial crimes here, we expect him to see the same beyond our borders.
Sadly, the crimes he condemns in Canada, he condones when committed by Israel. #cdnpoli
