One of my favorite characters in Blood and Roses is Cassie's dad.
I based a lot of him on my own father—the dad who always answers the phone, always has advice, and somehow always knows how to fix things.
Happy Father's Day to the dads who shows up, worry, and love us anyway.
Book club for Blood and Roses.
One of the most surreal parts of being an author is watching readers discuss your characters, theories, and twists.
☕ If we sat down for coffee, what would you ask me about Blood and Roses?

This will probably be my last post about Greenlights… probably. 💚
What an incredible book.
Conversations shouldn’t always be about who is right or wrong—they should be about understanding each other.
In a world determined to win arguments, maybe we need more understanding.
Somewhere between mythology and reality, we learn that people are not gods, love is not always written in gold, and beauty alone never saves anyone.
Maybe that’s why we keep reading stories anyway.
Because fiction lets us chase the poetry real life sometimes forgets to give us.
Currently reading Greenlights line for line because I’m scared I’ll miss something important.
“The road less traveled” isn’t always the dirt road.
Sometimes it’s simply the road less traveled by you.
Thank you @McConaughey for a life changing book.
Beauty. Myth. Murder. 🥀
Cassie Hale thought mythology belonged in books… until someone started recreating the deaths of legends.
Southern secrets, and a love triangle wrapped in roses and obsession.

Reread The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho again—last time was on a flight leaving SA, 4 years ago.
Same book. Different me.
This time it felt quieter. Less about chasing the treasure and more about trusting the process.
A reminder: This book doesn’t change.
You do.
Some people run. Some people talk.
I write.
"Good fiction’s job is to comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.” — David Foster Wallace.
I don’t just write to tell stories.
I write to give wings to my own.
Why do you write?
So grateful for every single reader who stepped into Blood and Roses.
“This book is exceptionally well written… immersive, vivid, and beautifully crafted.”
This is why I write 🤍

Not just a book… an experience. 🥀
If you’re stepping into Blood and Roses, this is your checklist.
Mystery. Mythology. Murder. Obsession.
And a story where beauty is never innocent.

I write because I love reading.
I write to escape reality and build something I can see.
I write for the unfolding—of story, character, place.
And in the end… I write for me. 🥀
