So basically, Kojima didn’t allow Sony executives to bully him into pushing out an unfinished product like every other spineless dev company and they tried to crucify him for it.
You don’t hate PlayStation enough.
How did PHYSINT miss deadlines when it only entered production phase last year?🚀
How was it over budget?
It’s not like Naughty Dog or many other PlayStation Studios produce anything of value this whole generation, and all their linear 60% cutscene / 40% stiff gameplay were way over budget with $300 to 400m or more.
Enough with this propaganda
Kojima elevated Sony as a brand due to his name and status alone, and the fact that he won 119 GOTY for Death Stranding, from many publications along with many other prestigious awards in other categories, including BAFTA, and now collaborating with A24 for a movie adaptation.
Death Stranding also had 20 million players, and collaborating with someone like Kojima is beyond just profits, but status and brand image.
Sony can only hide behind Rockstar and GTA6 for so long, and none of their fans or the general public will respect them or any developers are gonna wanna be acquired by them or collaborate with them knowing how unsafe they are to work with🎤
"We will be better off without discs"
No no, what you mean is CEO's (like yourself) and corporation profits will be better without discs.
WE THE PLAYERS WILL NOT.
WE THE PLAYERS DECIDE WHATS GOOD FOR THE PLAYERS.
Penny pinchers like yourself - DO NOT.
Nintendo is winning right now and its not difficult to understand why.
You know PlayStation is too far gone, when even IGN has had enough with them🚀
Sony needs to fire their executives, and hire people like Shuhei Yoshida, Shawn Layden, Kaz Hirai and Ken Kutaragi to lead the company back to the state which made millions of us love them for decades.
The current management has done enough damage:
✅Burning theories hundreds of millions, and billions even on live service that never took off
✅Unsustainably overblown development cycles of 7 years
✅Planning to end physical media and thereby creating a monopoly where they can raise prices on a whim and take away games without compensation, and even threatening ignoring your complaints or even banning and suing you under the excuse of “harassment”
✅Ruining their relationship with THE Hideo Kojima who brought so much value and recognition for gaming as a whole, as a serious art form, since the 90s
✅Funding games that seem to deliberately provoke hateful reactions from players which wasted so much for developers’ hard work just to score a point bloggers who don’t even play video games
✅Shown time and time again that they have no respect for their fans nor any morals and manners to communicate
We’ve had enough, and we’ve run out of goodwill for this company that is a shell of what it used to be.

NO KOJIMA 🫡 NO BUY
NO DISC 💿 NO BUY
LOOK AT THIS NOW 🔥🔥👇🏻👇🏻
Sony is arguing in court that it should be „obvious” to consumers that they don’t own the digital games they buy.
Meanwhile, fans have compiled a massive list of Sony repeatedly using phrases like „games you own” „verified owner” and „already own.”
When they want your money, you OWN it.
When they’re in court, it’s obvious you DON’T OWN it 😂😂

Sony decided they no longer care about their public perception, at all. The current leadership seems to look back at the PS4 generation with disdain. All of the decisions made at that time were a mistake in their eyes.
Even though they saved PlayStation and put them on top.
You know things are getting rough for PlayStation when even IGN is going in on them.
Sony’s blockbuster formula is becoming predictable and generic.
IGN is normally positive about PlayStation, so when even they’re questioning its future, something has clearly shifted.
IGN made a whole article about Sony's downfall that should be studied, they didn't get the check, or they're just tired of Sony's bullshit.
Basically what they argued is what normal people thinks:
> What was once the miracle formula behind Uncharted has basically become the default PlayStation template.
>Sony has spent years refining the same type of single-player blockbuster: huge cutscenes, accessible third-person combat, some light RPG mechanics, stealth sections through waist-high grass, and a meter you fill up to unleash a powerful ability.
>The result is incredibly polished, but also increasingly generic.
>Ghost of Yotei, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, God of War Ragnarök and Horizon Forbidden West are obviously very different games on the surface, but IGN argues that underneath, they share a lot of the same design language.
>The problem isn’t that these games are bad. It’s that what felt exciting ten years ago now feels increasingly familiar.
PlayStation magic formula is failing, it’s getting boring and generic, they need something new or just look at the games they made in past generations..
🚨 PlayStation is the best advertisement for Xbox:
> Lost Japanese Exclusivity: Lost exclusive console rights to major powerhouses like Final Fantasy and Persona
> Kojima Partnership Collapse: Lost Hideo Kojima to Xbox after trying to cancel his Metal Gear spiritual successor
> Double Down on Live-Service: Greenlit controversial ongoing online titles like Concord, Marathon, and the new Fairgame$ / Break In
> Hardware Price Hikes: Pushed PS5 prices up to record highs while stripping base accessories out of the box
> Phasing Out Physical: Moving rapidly toward ending physical gaming discs entirely by 2028
> Studio Strain: Pushed legacy studios like Insomniac into high-pressure corporate mandates, resulting in unprecedented critic stumbles
Sony saying consumers never believed they “owned” digital games, while its own support page says “a digital PS4 game you already own,” is quite the plot twist. I hope they get destroyed in court.
So do we “own” or games or do we not?🚀
Sony has become a total laughingstock for the industry. They’re trying to play with words to prove a point that supports their egomaniac execs but failing miserably😅
Sony argues players shouldn’t believe they own digital games. Yet its own support pages repeatedly call them “games you own.” That could become awkward in court.
@Lockedinmonarch I like how the Dragon was like WTF instead of "Hello Master how can I help you" or something similar like alot of other anime when they tame something without meaning to
