@KTVU They didn't almost crash into each other. One was descending from 18000ft to 10000ft. The other was climbing from 6000ft to 9000ft. The departing flight was told to stay at 9000 and the arrival was told to not go below 10000 until after they already crossed each other's paths.

@metrodezmom @ABC Aircraft tires are typically inflated to the 150-200psi range. Good luck getting run flat technology to work effectively with that kind of pressure. Tires have specific inspection criteria for a good reason too.

@DquickII @ABC Some tire defects can be hidden such that they can't be detected during visual inspection. And the fact it was two tires and not just one sounds more like either the tires hit some FOD on the runway or it had an anti-skid system failure

@Caltrans8 Penalties for littering should be more severe, and they should include the cost of DNA testing to narrow down who likely left it, then extend that cost to anybody convicted from it. Mandatory one month of litter removal service would be ideal too.

Counties only get to claim the first 12 miles off their coast as their own. Iran gets 12 miles. UAE gets another 12 miles. That leaves 2 miles of international water in between.

@thelifespiral @KTLA If they were admitted to a hospital in any condition, they really were hospitalized. In this case, they may have just been evaluated, treated and released. It's not necessary to stay overnight for one to still be considered hospitalized

@JoJoFromJerz I'm not a Trump fan, but I am a retired USAF vet and I even spent most of my career maintaining the same kind of aircraft as the one that crashed. It was a mid-air collision, in all likelihood, and it could have happened literally anywhere in the world.

@dmaciel13 @LeadingReport You and/or your advisor must not be that good at investing then. S&P 500 was up double digits in 2025, and I've got it projecting up another 10%-11% this year. Plenty of stocks in the index will get you even better performance than that too
