This is a huge reason why I don't typically reach out to creators unless I know them already. I always have this feeling in the back of my mind that by reaching out to other creators, especially ones with a larger following than me, that they will think I'm using them for clout.

Genuinely concerned people will think I’m “clout chasing” or being parasocial. I just have anxiety and RBF, man. I’m too old for all that. There are creators I’d love to reach out to, but it takes me ages to build up the courage.
