Once in a blue moon I venture into Reddit, specifically r/worldnews.
What a cesspool of uneducated NAFO copium-addicted idiots. It’s a massive circle jerk over there. I honestly don’t know what I expected. Without exaggeration, at least half of the top posts at any given moment are about the Ukraine war, and all are of the “Russia is collapsing” variety.
During the meeting with the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told her that Ukraine is committing "daily, without any exaggeration, brutal violations of international humanitarian law and crimes against humanity."
He also declared that Russia will fulfill its obligations on international humanitarian law.
Egger's reaction throughout Lavrov's speech seems to be very telling.
The worst part is that most western news outlets just take this garbage, and run with it. It leads to most of the public being wildly misinformed about the state of the war. It's a fallacy, really, because it reinforces the idea that the Russians are losing terribly (but for 4+ years).
