“Hi I am Danielle, an 8-year veteran of the London Police Service and currently assigned to the Community Outreach and Support Team (COAST). As a full time COAST member, I am paired with a Crisis Worker from CMHA and support individuals within the City of London struggling with mental health or addictions.
Prior to policing, I worked in Social Services with individuals impacted by trauma, violence, addictions and mental health for 10 years.
Policing has allowed me to serve my community in more of a frontline capacity. I have really enjoyed the opportunity to make a difference within the community in such a fulfilling and diverse career.”

What did we do for our 17th wedding anniversary? Hired on to work a shift together of course. 12 hr date in a cruiser, ok. ❤️ Here’s to many more years to come.
Our service met with a diverse group of partners—including healthcare professionals, educators, community leaders, law enforcement, & incredible community organizations—to focus on a critical issue that affects us all: youth mental health. Our joint effort to address youth mental health is more than just a duty; it's a commitment to our future. Community safety is about working together, understanding that our police service has duties to enforce laws but also, just as importantly, responsibilities for preventing crime, intervening early, and investing in our young people.
What a day! Thank you @lpsmediaoffice Project B.U.I.L.D.S. for the opportunity to speak today, to network, and learn how to best support adolescent. Battled some imposter syndrome being on a panel with such expertise but grateful for the chance to share my heart for the work.
Beyond proud to have my best friend and husband join me as a coworker. Tonight was our first shift at the same time, on Family Day of course. One of my favourite shifts in past 7 years!
We had the pleasure of welcoming two seasoned professionals to our ranks today. These newest members come with an extensive background in policing & invaluable life experiences, enhancing our ability to serve our city. Thank you for choosing to protect & serve London.
Tragically, we have learned that a Coquitlam RCMP member has been killed in the line of duty and a Maple Ride Mountie has been wounded after a shooting in the city centre neighbourhood. Our thoughts and prayers are with the members family and all RCMP colleagues at this most difficult time.
This evening, I am also hosting a public Town Hall on Mental Health and Harm Reduction, starting at 6:30pm at the South London Community Centre, 1119 Jalna Blvd. Please join us.
