5 things every American should be able to agree on:
❌ No Digital ID.

❌ No Flock cameras in our neighborhoods.
@myth_pilot Because it's a clear cut violation of the 4th amendment 🙄
The latest Supreme court ruling regarding geofencing cell data further strengthens this Fact.
Yes, the national Libertarian Party is under control of woke, leftists now. There are a few reasons for that, and a few pros and cons. ⬇️
Reasons:
1⃣Leftist infiltration is a very real thing - by Soros Foundation, Ranked Choice Voting orgs, and similar left wing operations. They are organized, but most importantly they are FUNDED.
2⃣Leftist infiltrators are vicious, amoral people who have zero qualms outright lying about other libertarians and trying to ruin their lives. This makes it difficult to retain quality people, especially unpaid volunteers.
3⃣While there have been some very generous donors in the libertarian movement and I am extremely grateful for their past help and involvement, they have mostly moved on and do not want to fund the Mises Caucus or the Libertarian Party anymore. They have other projects they are vested in. Right wing libertarians need to step up and donate to counter leftist tactics.
4⃣Like funding, major outlets for recruitment have also dried up as podcasters have shifted their focus elsewhere. New recruitment funnels take time to organize. I set up a few of them, but it is difficult to redirect the whole ship without complete buy-in and alignment from caucus members, and without their active participation. Many of them are still laser focused on the issues and projects that first brought them to the caucus, which is understandable.
CONS
👎The biggest, most obvious con is that leftist control of the national party ruins the branding of Libertarianism. We are all viewed as disgusting degenerates who want open borders, public drug use and homelessness, child sex changes and abortion. Not ideal, and not representative of most libertarians. Many libertarians are very socially conservative.
👎The other big con is that these leftists who wear libertarianism as a skin suit do it in order to disrupt politics and get Democrats in power. They do not want to advance liberty; they want to advance globalism, socialism, and anarcho tyranny.
PROS
👍With the Chase Oliver campaign (and now likely the Michigan Senate race) the mask is so fully dropped that even the average uninformed voter became aware of the con game and opted not to vote for Chase. "Voting and gender are nonbinary!" did not appeal to the masses. Neither did the rainbow cape. If the national party is allowed, or encouraged, to go full retard, they will eventually stop doing damage to GOP campaigns and start splitting the vote on the left.
👍An argument can be made that a bad national party forces good libertarians into the GOP and makes it better. I don't personally subscribe to this take, but others do.
🤔What Can Be Done About It?
Well, if you want to see a change, you have to show up, even if your favorite podcaster doesn't talk about it anymore. The Mises Caucus needs new donors and members. (IE, people NOT ACTIVE in the caucus need to step up.)
They need to scale back the asks of their volunteers to avoid burnout, and they (IMO) need their die hard members to shift direction towards making real advances in politics and away from podcaster worship and internet drama. They need to cut deals with the GOP in select races (not all races) and fully lean into it. There are a few, rare circumstances where it is appropriate to do the same with Democrats.
They need to stop adopting the toxic 'crabs in a bucket' behavior of the Libertarians who were in the party before us. 🚫🦀🦀🦀
Likely, a new organized caucus from an entirely new recruitment funnel needs to develop, but that caucus MUST work with the MC in order to avoid the pitfalls and toxicity of internal party politics. This is not the time or place for people totally new to politics to jump in and lead.
Until these things happen, Soros money and leftist agitators will continue to run roughshod over the name "libertarian".
I have just finished reading Justice Clarence Thomas's 91-page dissent in the Supreme Court’s ruling striking down Trump’s birthright citizenship order.
It's incredible.
