Some grim news from Zappateers, *the* best Zappa archival project in history. If they can't get in the green on donations vs. cost this year, it could be their last. Think you can help? Check the reply:
Cheaper Than Cheep is officially on the docket! Originally slated for a March release, then listed for a May debut, who knows when it'll be out? - but I'm sure as hell excited for some more footage! Subscribe to the Frank Zappa newsletter, folks!

Did we just get some new Budapest 1991 footage or did something breach Zappateers containment once more? This is new to me - check out this soundcheck jam from the festival, and new views of performances from later in the night. https://t.co/sELaY9SbVA
This is a living document that will be added to and corrected over time. If you see something you disagree with or believe should be added, please feel free to contact me.
Have not been sleeping! At least, not too long - worked on since August, here's a mega reference document to all the Hires and Fires of the Soul Giants, Mothers of Invention, and Frank Zappa's bands: https://t.co/v0ywfShGvj
With kudos from @idiotbastard, Scott Thunes, and Jim Pons, this document leaves very little unturned, including the early Soul Giants, the studio-only Joe's Camouflage band, and the aborted 1980 Holland touring band. A HUGE thanks to all Zappa resources that made it possible.
Immersive Audio is in the final round of voting for the 2025 Listener's Choice Awards and the Over-Nite Sensation Atmos release is a featured finalist... wanna come vote? https://t.co/GyutspDIji
Robert Martin just had emergency surgery and is facing serious medical bills. He’s always helped others; now he needs us. Please consider donating and sharing to help him through this tough time. https://t.co/xN7phNeGeG
@idiotbastard Wow, no I haven’t! I have to say that’s a fantastically petty gesture, but I get it - Pam must have effectively been Frank’s road wife while Gail was at home, heavily pregnant with Moon.
Pamela was a friend of Frank from the log cabin days. She created the term “wowie zowie,” took on the role of Suzy Creamcheese, and can be heard on We’re Only In It For The Money and Uncle Meat. You could see her in many photos of the Mothers’ first European tour. RIP.
I have just learned that Pamela Zarubica passed away last year following a short battle with a brain tumour. Here's a video of her reminiscing about The Mothers first UK gig.
RIP
