Completed 9 games last year, which is a new record for me! But will probably stop posting when I complete a game and just keep this account for Smash or big life updates.
This is the start of a thread where I post the games I have played/completed in 2025. I will post thoughts on the game, but this is mostly an easier and fun way to keep track and complete more games. Hopefully, I can beat 2024 where I only played/completed 3 games.
A solid game but if I have to say something bad about it. Then the story is nothing big (though the end parts made me smile a lot) and personally grinding for banana chips in the end sucked.
But really solid game and I recommend it!
8/10

9: Donkey Kong Bananza
Finally a game that made my Switch 2 purchase a little bit worth it.
I usually don't play collectathon games but it was really fun solving puzzles by punching stuff!
Didn't plan to 100% but since the gameplay was fun I did it anyway.

Even though P5R is probably the best and I would recommend it first to a new player
I still just vibe and love P3's story and theme so much
So the personal ranking of the Persona games is still P3>P5>P4
Objectively P5>P3>P4
We'll see how I feel when I get to play P1/P2

8: Persona 5 Royal
Man what a beast of a game to play and get 100% achievements on. I already thought Persona 5 was really good and Royal just made it even better. Gameplay flows so well and it's the best in the series. The third added semester is a banger story.

The only bad part is that the combat gets too easy. But probably comes down to that I know what to do after playing so many Persona games by now.
Honestly the best game in the series and is a 10/10 for me.

Might be silly but I got so happy for finally getting to a NAS top 8 by winning games and not by DQs. Ever since I switched to Fox I haven't won against anyone outside of my locals and on my locals I only beat people whose mostly there for the vibes. So this was important for me.
Even if this "review" only has negative points in it, the game is still a Borderlands game and the formula makes it fun enough to play for one run. So the rating will be 5/10 from me.

7: Tiny Tina's Wonderlands
Man this game had the best idea to combine Borderlands with DnD, but sadly this is the first Borderlands game I don't wanna play again or grind for better gear. Gameplay-wise the movement is fine, but the stuff around it makes you bored.

I don't know if it's just me but classes feel underwhelming and don't bring in the full potential of the class. I can only speak for Gloombringer (Clawbringer/Graveborn) but man I didn't think any class ability was fun to use and the skill trees had nothing spicy in it.

There might be fun guns in the game but I can't tell because I was using the same gun for almost the whole game. When something better finally dropped it was basically the same gun with better numbers.

This makes this game really hard to rate, it's super fun when I have friends over but super boring when I'm alone.
But ultimately I think I give this game 5/10, but 7.5/10 when you play with friends (also maybe online, but I don't play MK online)
(5/5)
6: Mario Kart World
Played enough now to get my full opinion on the game. Mario Kart has always only been a fun couch party game for me and the driving, grinding and wall jumps make this the most fun MK game gameplay wise.

This leaves Free Roam mode and while there are missions and collectables to do and collect. I just feel the world is empty and don't see a reason to explore the world. Also don't like that they don't tell how many there are and which areas are completed or not.
