I'm looking for Ghanaians who lost someone close to them in the past 3 years and who are willing to fill a questionnaire. For the benefit of Science, tailored treatment and my thesis - a cross-cultural research on Grief. Responses will be appreciated :)

The quality of & access to mental health care services (all health care services) in this country is dangerously poor. Just a fraction of that $200 million could literally save lives.

@TheSikeGbana No Sweetie, this and the rest of my tweets as a totality, explain my point. In essence, I am saying: It does not strictly have ‘*nothing* to do with the man, and *everything* to do with a strong woman...’ as you put it.
@TheSikeGbana Gratitude to those who have chosen, by themselves, to hold us in our pain, can benefit us positively. Those who choose not to be with a victim may not be stupid per se but may not have the (mental) resources to cope adaptively with shocking experiences(yet). We live & we learn.
@TheSikeGbana It is possible to live vicariously through other people. Caregivers and significant others can go through more psychologically than you may assume. It is not for us to say one’s pain is more than another’s because pain is a subjective experience.
@TheSikeGbana ...even professionals who come into contact with primary victims. These have symptoms that can resemble Posttraumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD). So, it is not only about who goes through a traumatic event directly, because trauma can certainly have a ripple effect.
It’s a criminal offense to attempt suicide in Ghana.
The Mental Health Authority has once again called for laws that decriminalize suicide in Ghana.
This follows the detention of the thirty-five-year-old man who attempted suicide at Parliament last Thursday.

Forgive yourself for the survival patterns and traits you picked up while enduring trauma.
Forgive yourself for not knowing better at the time.
Forgive yourself for past behaviours.
Forgive yourself for being who you needed to be to survive.
