Tomorrow is Core PCE, 8:30 AM ET.
Quick breakdown:
PCE measures how fast prices are rising in the US.
It's the Fed's favorite inflation number.
Forecast: 0.3%. Last month: 0.2%.
Higher than expected -> usually bad for NQ.
Lower than expected -> usually good for NQ.
That's why today and yesterday was chop. The market is waiting for this number.
My plan: no trades before the release. Let it print, let the market digest it, and just wait for the 9:30 NY open.
@Benjamin_SMC The PA is fine. It's just a pre-news day. Range, fake moves both ways, liquidity getting built for PCE tomorrow. Best move is sitting out or to size down, not forcing it.
NASDAQ London + NY Session ๐ข
London: 5m setup, moved my stop to breakeven, got taken out. No loss.
NY AM: 1m IFVG entry, waited a little bit after the open, played out clean.
1 BE, 1 W. Done for today. ๐ฅ
Nobody tells you how lonely year one is.
You'll blow account after account.
You'll switch models every other week.
You'll wonder if you're just not built for this.
Then one random Tuesday, it clicks.
And you realize every red day was part of it.
@Hamza_Trades1 Facts. The more I stare, the more I start seeing setups that aren't there.
Just set alerts at your levels and walk away. If price doesn't come to you, there was never a trade.
Your prop firm can blow up before you do.
You can pass the challenge, trade perfectly, and still never get paid.
80โ100 prop firms have shut down since 2024. Many left payouts unpaid.
The warning signs usually show up first ๐๐ป
This week's red folders ๐
Wed: Core PCE + Final GDP (8:30 AM ET)
Fri: NFP + Unemployment + Hourly Earnings (8:30 AM ET)
Mon & Tue have no major news.
That usually means one thing: chop.
Price builds liquidity and waits for Wednesday.
Friday's NFP forecast is 98K vs 162K last month.
A big drop like that means a big surprise could move everything.
My plan:
- Mon/Tue: A+ setups only, or sit out
- Wed: no trades before the release, let the first 15 min play out
- Fri: not trading NFP. Longer weekend it is.
Sometimes the best trade this week is the one you don't take.
Most people who say 'trading destroyed me' don't actually mean the market.
They mean their expectations.
They came in wanting to get rich in a month. Oversized, overtraded, chased every loss.
The market didn't destroy them. The rush did.
Slow down. The skill takes years, not weeks.
