MultiversX Phase 4 : What the GitHub Blueprint Reveals 👀

MultiversX explicitly lists “LayerZero integration” as part of its Deep Capital Markets strategy.

MultiversX has outlined its next priorities: liquidity, interoperability and institutional access.
LayerZero is named. Tether/USDT0, Anchorage or Coinbase could be next.

Something about the trading activity around elrond-erd-2:native really stands out to me.
Upbit + Bithumb account for more than 90% of the spot volume, while the Volume / Market Cap ratio is around 43%, and on some days it gets close to 70%.
What caught my attention even more:
- Upbit has a CMC liquidity score of around 325
- Binance is around 578
- yet Upbit is doing dozens of times more EGLD volume
-so this looks more like extremely intense trading activity in Korea than simply deeper liquidity
My guess:
- strong capital rotation on EGLD/KRW
- short-term traders, bots and market makers
- low fees encouraging very active trading
- the network incident probably amplified a trend that was already there before
The real test will come when transfers fully reopen.
If Upbit + Bithumb still dominate the volume after that, then this may be more than just a temporary market anomaly.
We’ll see. 👀

🚨BITWISE NEAR ETF CLEARED TO LIST ON NYSE ARCA!
NYSE Arca approved Bitwise’s near:native fund to list under ticker NRR, per an SEC 8-A filing.
The prospectus still says the SEC has not approved or disapproved the shares. Trading has not started.
If it launches, the U.S. ETF would buy near:native and stake it. That is a new regulated bid for the token.
The NEAR ETF could have an impact that goes far beyond near:native
Not only because of potential inflows.
But because of the attention it could bring to an entire narrative.
NEAR and MultiversX currently share a fairly similar foundation:
• Sharding
• High-performance infrastructure
• AI agents
• The agentic economy
But they are not building exactly the same thing.
NEAR is pushing a broader vision of the Agentic Economy:
→ Intents
→ Chain abstraction
→ Cross-chain execution
→ Agents able to interact across multiple networks
MultiversX, on the other hand, is leaning more heavily into Agentic Commerce:
→ x402 and autonomous payments
→ Onchain agent identity
→ Reputation
→ Gasless transactions
→ Sub-second infrastructure with Supernova
→ Sovereign Chains
Same underlying narrative.
Different approaches.
And that is exactly why the NEAR ETF matters for the rest of the sector.
If more investors and institutions start looking at NEAR to understand what the agentic economy could become, they may naturally start looking at other networks building around the same thesis.
@MultiversX is clearly one of them.
Especially since MultiversX has already included the possibility of an Institutional ETF Partnership in its own strategy.
That does not mean an EGLD ETF is coming.
But institutional attention rarely starts and ends with a single project.
Sometimes an ETF puts the spotlight on one asset.
Then the market starts looking at the entire narrative around it.

MultiversX is back online.
Thank you for your patience and belief through these hard days.
To our validators and partners: thank you for the work that brought us here.
We’re proud to be here with you.
We continue to build different. Together.
Oh. Total nonsense, just to start with.
"The Off-Switch Every mainnet node runs with a hard-fork trigger enabled that listens for a message signed by one specific public key. That is a remote stop switch held by the Foundation! We cannot know for sure if they pressed that switch, but it is highly unlikely they could have stopped the chain that quickly otherwise & the fact that it even exists is bad enough! This is all a direct consequence of the shortcuts they had to make to bring a sharded chain down to 600ms..."
THERE IS NO OFF SWITCH.
USE ALL YOUR AGENTS. Check the public code, and there is no off switch.
there is actually no hardfork code. there is nothing of sort.
How can you make a rapid decision with validators ? There is a common channel where we can put urgent messages and everyone decides, every validator decides. Some other blockchains did this too, L1s as well in the recent years, not going to make names.
The bug happened IN THE SAME SHARD. It has nothing to do with SHARDING. Check again with all your agents, and please if you want to put out information, at least make correct ones.
There is no centralisation, there is no reckless design, there are NO trade-offs.
the code in issue was formally verified and audited and it still got this bug. the bug happened because there was a save function called and after some errors checks and gas usage, and in case of those errors, we did not revert the previous save. this was sadly a reentrancy attack, because a function and the order of the execution was not protected.
THE CODE is OPEN SOURCE. The code does not lie.
check the code.
thanks for your attention.
@EricXelrond Yeah, exactly. First 100 can help get things moving, but the real test will be whether users actually show up. A big integration or partner could make a huge difference.
Now I’m curious to see if MultiversX announces any major partnerships around this soon.

A different kind of weekly update 🌍
On Sep 19, an attempt to exploit a VM-level issue caused invalid state changes, and network progression was paused to protect users.
What happened:
🔍 An actor exploited a VM-level atomicity issue; a fix was prepared the same day
🧩 The root cause: an order-of-operations mistake in edge cases, contained fast thanks to the validators' rapid response
Where things stand:
🛡 The incident is contained; the attacker's accounts have been identified and frozen with major exchanges, and law enforcement is engaged
🔧 Recovery will be a coordinated hard fork from a known-good checkpoint, rehearsed on Testnet and Devnet with validators first
⚙️ The code is ready and public, and testing is ongoing
⏸️ Until the all-clear: don't submit or rebroadcast transactions, and don't use EGLD/ESDT deposit and withdrawal routes on exchanges or bridges. Exchanges and bridges will reopen in stages after the restart.
A full technical incident report will follow.
Thank you to the validators, partners and everyone who stood with the network this week. Our regular recap returns once the network is back, with two weeks of building to catch up on.
We built on MultiversX.
We grew with the ecosystem.
Now, we step into the Supernova era together.
600ms is more than an upgrade. It’s a new foundation for what comes next.
Congratulations, @MultiversX. ⚡️
elrond-erd-2:native is on the verge of triggering MASSIVE short liquidations 👀
One more push could ignite a serious short squeeze. 🔥
Things could get very interesting very fast. ⚡️
