And then there was the guy at the grocery store who handed me a piece of paper with his phone number.
Excuse me? So you're just walking around with your phone number already written down? Looking for victims? That's not suspicious at all. Then he just left.
So now I DON'T KNOW WHERE HE IS. He could be ANYWHERE, totally hiding waiting to murder me because I didn't immediately add his number to my phone. Totally normal behavior.

Last week a guy held the door open for me. Why? What was his endgame? Trapping me inside the building so he could steal my kidneys to organ thieves? No thanks!

Another smiled at me while I was walking my dog. My dog. So now he knows I have a dog. Fantastic.

One of the big issues for the Right is that the enemies are so overwhelmingly evil that it’s hard for it to not sound fake.

The Grooming Gang Report showed that the systematic rape and abuse of underage and young women is not just some random shit. It’s not one-off guys in vans. It’s a community project. Same reason you see such a hard push for Americans to have children later and later in life, while being forced through one fiery hoop after another, like college degrees for jobs that never needed degrees in the first place. Then people act surprised when starting a family becomes completely impractical.

I’m the only one in my friend group from elementary school with children, and I had them at the age my grandparents became grandparents.

(3) Criticism and cost-benefit analyses of the vaccine were vigorously censored — but people had informed consent.

(4) Vaccines are modeled after natural immunity — but natural immunity doesn’t exist.

(5) The experts were more sophisticated than you — but everyone had to vaccinate, and it didn’t matter which vaccine, your age, comorbidities, or prior exposure.

(6) Lockdowns were common sense — but were advised against in 2019.

(7) Masks were no big deal — but are classified as torture when prisoners in Guantanamo Bay are forced to wear them during transfers.

(8) Everyone was at risk from COVID — but those over 70 with comorbidities had over a thousand times the risk of young people.

(9) To save the world, everyone had to lock down — but blue-collar workers still had to deliver everything to every home on Earth.

(10) COVID organically arose from fruit bats — and definitely not from the virus lab down the road.

(11) Surgeons wear masks, and so should you — but surgeons don’t wear them when speaking to patients before surgery. Wonder why that is?

(12) It wasn’t a mass hysteria — but the average respondent thought 9% of Americans were already dead by summer.

(13) COVID was a super-deadly virus — but no one started dying until the world collectively screamed, “COVID is a super-deadly virus!”

(14) The COVID vaccines are vaccines — but we had to change the definition of “vaccine” to make it so.

(16) We know the vaccines are all-cause mortality positive — but did no medium- or long-term studies before mandating them.

(17) Vaccines reduce transmission — but don’t.

(18) Ventilators and midazolam were beneficial — to hospital staff trying to suppress aerosols from patients they were, in effect, killing.

(19) The vaccines were safe and effective — but you couldn’t sue if they harmed you.

(20) “My body, my choice” — but not when it came to experimental injections.

(21) Small businesses were non-essential — but Walmart, Amazon, and liquor stores were sacred.

(22) It was an emergency — but we had time for TikTok dances in hospitals.

(23) Social distancing was vital — except during Progressive protests.

(24) Doctors were heroes — but only if they didn’t think for themselves.

Love Popeyes chicken but I am am having a hard time understanding some practices they and other restaurants do today. I recently looked on line and seen they had a 9 piece family meal for $20.00 which included a side and four biscuits, which is a pretty good deal today. When I got to the drive up window menu board all that was offered close to that was an 8 piece meal for $28.99. I asked the worker and was informed that the $20.00 9 piece meal had to be ordered on the mobile app. So I had to pull out of line and order the 9 piece meal on my phone and then get back in line to get my order. My question is why is it necessary to order on the mobile app to get this deal and others like it. Same restaurant, same chicken, just makes no sense to me. Why do restaurants do this?

Happiness is what you get when you connect to other people.

Happiness is what you get when you accomplish something you're proud of.

Carry that heavy burden across a finish line. Make something useful out of wood or metal. Fix that leaking window. Debug your code. Write something true, or beautiful, or both. Teach someone. Cook a delicious meal that doesn't come out of a box. Grow your small business. Raise your son to be a better man than you.

Do something others admire.

Do something that makes you proud.

Happiness isn't taking, or slacking off. Nothing you can buy can bring you happiness unless you add your own effort to it.

Happiness comes from making, and improving, and giving.

Happiness doesn't shun burdens. Happiness picks them up.

You are not made to suffer or to hate life. You are made to thrive, and to desire what makes you thrive. How could your ancestors have made it this far in any other way?

Yes, there are a lot of burdens you have to carry, especially right now. But don't carry them with worry and fear and suffering.

Carry them with pride.

Set them down across the finish line with joy.

And pick up the next one with hope.

Find someone to carry it with you.

When you know the difference between happiness and pleasure, your own mind, your own body, will tell you exactly what you need to do.
