Congratulations to @Tennessean 2023 People of the Year: the five @MNPDNashville officers who entered The Covenant School to confront the assailant after the murder of six people:

Det. Ryan Cagle, Det. Michael Collazo, Ofcr. Rex Engelbert, Det. Sgt. Jeff Mathes and Det. Zachary Plese

I had a chance to sit down with most of the officers recently and they shared their reflections on this past year.

“I kind of look at it as, the awards are there, but I would give it all back for that day to not have happened,” Collazo told me.
