@Magnus_Fiskesjo@silentfateship@Starbucks@SBWorkersUnited Do you know the genocide against the Oirat Mongols? The Manchus were the masterminds, while the Uyghurs were accomplices. After the Dzungar massacre, the Mongol population in Xinjiang plummeted, allowing the Uyghurs to become the largest ethnic group in Xinjiang almost overnight.
@Magnus_Fiskesjo@Starbucks@SBWorkersUnited By your logic, no one in Xinjiang, regardless of ethnicity, should use Western products, eat McDonald’s or KFC, or use Android, Microsoft, or Apple, or these companies are accomplices to genocide. Do you want us to return to the Stone Age to satisfy you?
@Magnus_Fiskesjo@Starbucks@SBWorkersUnited Xinjiang has long been a multiethnic region, home to Mongols, Han Chinese, Kazakhs, and Uyghurs. The CCP persecutes Uyghur Muslims, but what does that have to do with those of us who’ve lived in Xinjiang for generations? Why should we be sanctioned?
@Magnus_Fiskesjo@Starbucks@SBWorkersUnited Xinjiang isn’t made up of Han Chinese alone. There are Uyghurs and Mongols like us too. So does that mean none of us have the right to use American brands?
@Magnus_Fiskesjo@Starbucks@SBWorkersUnited People in Xinjiang have suffered enough. Yet these Americans who grew up in a sheltered environment still want to deprive them of their rights, even denying them access to Starbucks.
@Magnus_Fiskesjo@Starbucks@SBWorkersUnited Besides being persecuted by the CCP, people in Xinjiang also have to face persecution from Americans. Americans are actually banning people in Xinjiang from using American products, even preventing them from drinking coffee from American brands. It’s really infuriating.
@silentfateship@NewshamGrant@SariArhoHavren He actually blocked me. He doesn’t have the guts to direct his fire at the Chinese Communist Party, so he only targets ordinary people in Xinjiang.
So you think people in Xinjiang have no right to use American brands? What gives you the right to take that away? If you truly care about human rights, sanction Beijing and the Xinjiang government, not ordinary people in Xinjiang.
