This is how fake products are distributed at scale in Nigeria.

Someone goes to NAFDAC with a sample product and pays to obtain a NAFDAC registration number for that product. Once the process is completed and the NAFDAC number is issued, they reduce the quality of the product. Some even go to China to manufacture fake versions of the original products at scale and distribute them across the Nigerian market.

Almost every product in the Nigerian market today seems to have a fake version in circulation.

Selling fake products should be treated as a capital offence. People who knowingly manufacture and distribute dangerous fake products are putting lives at risk.

NAFDAC needs to do far more. The level of regulatory failure, negligence, and lack of effective enforcement is deeply concerning.

Because wealth accumulation requires a certain level of cruelty. And most smart people are not cruel. For example, let's say I run a business, and I know that in order for it to make me a millionaire, I need to pay my workers 3k p/m. I'm just finding out today that Nigeria used to have a shipping line in the 50's.

It used to be 6 vessels and later grew to 7 vessels.

Today, Nigeria has none.

Also, in the 80's, Nigeria had an airline with 20 planes while Emirates was just starting off with only 2 planes.

Today, the Emirates has 240 planes while Nigeria is now at 0.

Honestly, this country really fell off. 😥
