I’m not a good person at all. Infact, I have the capability to be very bad given the right circumstances I just don’t feed into it too frequently. But one thing I am and will forever be, is kind. Self awareness is key, always.
Suicidal thoughts aren’t always..
I want to die.
Sometimes they sound like.
I can’t keep doing this.
I’m exhausted.
I need everything to stop for a minute.
I don’t know how to survive another day like this.
My mind won’t give me peace.
This pain feels endless.
I’m drowning inside my own head.
These thoughts aren’t attention seeking.
They’re distress signals.
Covid did something to the ENERGY of the world. Everything feels OFF. People are colder. Lonelier. More divided. Less connected. Social skills DIED. Families broken. Community feels DEAD. COVID broke something in society that never got fixed.
Depression doesn’t always look like sadness.
Sometimes it’s:
– Constant brain fog
– Leaving laundry in the machine for 3 days
– Not remembering the last time you laughed
– Saying “I’m fine” and meaning “I’m drowning”
– Feeling exhausted from doing nothing
– Crying when no one’s around
– Wanting connection but isolating anyway
This is what depression can really look like
stop letting people consume you. they didn't call? go to sleep. they didn't message you? put your phone down and have a better day. they left you on read? delete the conversation. they didn't make an effort? match their energy. never let your happiness depend on anyone
It’s OK to admit you have to do some work on yourself and release bad habits to be able to align with the things you really want. I don’t think enough of us do that.
